Nice. Thank you. You made it quick and easy. It's such a simple thing, and I've been using Photoshop for a long time. But we forget what we don't use often. You made my day!
Love your tutorials. To the point and easy to follow
This was a huge help, you are doing the lord's work. Thank you Brendan.
1:04 Why my path ,shape is missing? There are no this view for me do selection. Please help.
Thank you! You just saved me hours off my day!
I love your tutorials!
Thank you. Easy to follow and informative too!
Super helpful and quick! Any suggestions when typing on a hard corner (vs a smooth curve) to get it to wrap/fill the entire space? It seems to overlap on the 90* inside edge and the 90* outside edge corner has nothing.
Exactly what I needed, no more and no less...thank you!
Thanks for this straightforward tutorial!
Omits the pivotal task... adding a second bit of text to the bottom of the elliptical (still on the outside), but keeps the text reading properly (left-to-right). Only seems to read normally if you move it inside, which is not good for design purposes.
This was super helpful, thanks a lot!
EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. THANKSSSSS
Can you position the text to stay in 1 spot? when I hit spacebar the whole text moves .
struggling here , I do not have the "shape/path" mode option in my upper tool bar. i have done this before but something is not clicking in my brain. and can not find a tool box with the option either
when i click back into my text I am not seeing those points to adjust - any idea what to do? thanks
Awesome. Thanks 👍🏻
what if i want to change orientation of the text ? make text vertical to artboard not to path
i had a professor teach me to create a path and then type out a text separately, put them on top of each other and select them both and then pull down a dropdown menu and put the text on a path. is there a way that is possible?
You are a great teacher. Thanks
Stopped dead in tracks before I could start. Where you have a list of to choose path, I have a bunch of boxes in different configurations. So I'm not able to use your method of choosing Elipse as I can't figure out how to change that. Might be me, wouldn't be the first time.
Great video 😍
i'm on windows and my options bar has nothing that is shown on your mac version - what do i do
Awesone tips.
helpful, thanks
I'm using Photoshop 7.0 and no matter what I do, I cannot get the cursor to change into the squiggly i-beam when I hover over the path! I've been trying for weeks - I've selected the shape and made sure it's a path (not a shape) and no matter where I hover, the cursor doesn't change. Help!!!
Thank you!!!!
Thanks!
I don't have a selection for 'shape' in my ellipse tool. How do you get that?
what if the X and the Circle is not there?
very simple and precise....I love your tutorial Brendan. Thanks Bro😘
For YEARS, I have frustratingly tried to understand typing on a path. This is the first time I ever heard to press control key to move path. Aahhhhh!
thank you.... still using cs 4 👍😬
Thanks
How do you flip the text when using the outside bottom of the path so the text isn't upside down but still follows the same arch as the top text? Is there a way to flip the text itself upside down so it reads correctly?

I would make two layers -one for upper half of circle, one for lower half. A) Follow the video and make Circle Path-name it Layer 1, then duplicate the Layer and name it Layer 2. B) For the text you want on the “upper half of circle”, go to Layer 1 and follow his instructions to type text on path & align to center.-Then turn off visibility of Layer 1. C) For the text you want on the “bottom half of circle”, go to Layer 2. Do the same thing as in the last step {type text on path, align to center} Then go back to video- at around 3:21 he explains how to put text on inside of pathway. Follow the instructions and then spin the type so it’s in the bottom half of the circle and right-side-up. D) Turn on visibility of Layer 1 “upper half of circle”. Now you can see the whole composition. E) Go to Layer 2 and use the Transform Tool to scale up the size slightly- so that the Tops of the letters line up on the Outside Path of Layer 1 Hope this helps…

Hi, I just found the correct way to align the text in the “bottom half of circle” to the path. No size transformation required. Please see instructions on this wonderful video: How To Type In a Circle In Photoshop [EASY Step-By-Step] May 19, 2020 “Photoshop Training Channel”
What kind of chair are you using?

Does explain how to use the pen tool to create a text path. Just skips over that and does the same tutorial a million other KZreadrs do. What a waste.

It worked for me
The Photoshop UI for this is so bad, it is beyond me why this is industry standard. Super finicky and bad to interact with. At least give the use the option to adjust colors and thickness of the UI.
