HOW TO TURN YOUR DRAWINGS INTO EMBROIDERY FILES! Using Procreate, InkScape & InkStitch!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I asked y'all to comment something completely random & I gave you no context as to what it was for... THIS IS WHAT IT WAS FOR! I took your random words & turned them into drawings AND THEN turned them into EMBROIDERY FILES! That my embroidery machine could read & it actually worked! We spiced up some of my thrifted clothing with some super cool embroidery! I'm doing this to all of my clothing & possibly some clothing to sell 👀

Yes the rectangle is your page. It is usually letter size or A4 depending on the settings. You can adjust the page size. It might be useful to make a page size the same as the stitch area of your hoop e.g. 4 inches by 4 inches. Then you can size your image so that it fits inside the page and therefore will fit inside the hoop. The dimensions of the embroidery are more important than the file size. Your first embroidery was far too big for the hoop. Also you will get a much better stitch out if you use an embroidery stabilizer on the back of the fabric. A cut away stabilizer would work for that thicker knit. For really stretchy knits you will need an adhesive stabilizer. For woven fabrics, a tearaway stabilizer usually works. Those are just general guidelines. You may want to research this topic a bit more. Great that you shared Inkstitch, which is a great free resource for those who cannot afford to buy software. Purchased software will have more features than the current version of Inkstitch, but it is improving all the time.

I want to add: Adjust density, stitch style, stitch angle and so on in the file. Never resize on the machine/the machine file except you're aware of how it'll impact your stitches. Yes, the first file was funny: about 250.000 stitches. Her machine is probably only capable to go up to 50.000 stitches. Beside the size of that embroidery it would have taken her over 100h to embroider with her machine. I'm sorry to say but the whole video shows that she has absolutely no idea what she's doing. I'll look at some never videos to see if she has improved.

OK. You can change the size of your working space. Set it to the same size as your hoop. Also change your tool bar sizing to mm or inches so you can see the size of your icon. So you might want to have a pumkin that's 1inch and once that's 4 inches

Thank you so much for this video and sharing your knowledge! I'm so elated that you've found this path to creating on a Brother Embroidery Machine. I've got a question. I followed your directions and exported my procreate image with NO BACKGROUND as a PNG. Then used Adobe Express to convert to an SVG. Then imported the SVG into Inkscape to create the PES....When I generate the image for preview, the first strokes it makes covers the whole background with stitches with black and I uploaded the painting without a background. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thank you for your help.
