It has better quality wood and hardware, so you won't have to upgrade as much. Wiring is also a rather unnecessary mod unless you have really shitty wiring or really good signal chain (amp, speakers and cables)

    Should have done a quick lick or few riffs on that bass to compare the tones of the cheap factory hardware and the quality pieces. Looks badass and I'm sure it sounds awesome, but if you grow tired of that upgraded bass it's still a cheap bass that's only worth the value of the hardware you swapped in so be sure to keep all the original pieces just in case

    Buying a cheap instrument and modding it is always cheaper than buying supposed "quality". The vast majority of the price on a popular brand is the brand name itself. Only cork sniffers think that a particular brand is $1,000+ better than the budget option. But idiots can be fooled into buying all kinds of stupid things that cost way less to make. People just want confirmation that the cost was justified. They're afraid to admit something cheaper can match it because they would feel like a fool for paying more.

    So add 200 dollars of parts to a 150 dollar bass to achieve what total cost could have bought you anyway.....

  • @davespringer777
    @davespringer777 Жыл бұрын

    People dont understand that you dont need to get everything at once. Get what you can when you can afford it. You can find used parts. Later on, you still have those parts if you need them. Mostly, people just like to complain in comment sections, and dont even intend on getting a bass in the first place. They get joy from crapping on other peoples ideas.

    @@AntshayMusic The bass is $129.58 (w/tax) Those pickups are $192.91 w/tax. Harness is $77.70. At LEAST $75 to install. Nut replacement/file around $40 for synthetic. That's $509.18 and you still own a $120 bass. $500 would get a decent used bass, that makes more sense to me.
