This is almost exactly what I did to my Glarry. Has everything upgraded to Fender even the neck. The only original part is the body now lol. Oh man that’s awesome! I can’t believe it lol. Yeah the body is pretty light. Actually a bit too light causing a bit of neck dive when playing standing up. Balance is a bit better after the upgrades. But I liked the glarry as soon as I played it so felt it was worth the upgrades. Check out my full length video and tell me what you think.

And 1 more thing....spend 50-100usd on a high mass bridge. A Leo Quan BADASS bridge is one of my go to modifications. Aside from increased sustain and tone, they intonate better and have better stability thanks to the shallower string angle.

I'll give him credit for the mods done, despite info being obvious. But i do have to say that if you're going to upgrade your bass after purchase anyway - just buy a better bass from the start. It has better quality wood and hardware, so you won't have to upgrade as much. Wiring is also a rather unnecessary mod unless you have really shitty wiring or really good signal chain (amp, speakers and cables)

Buying a cheap instrument and modding it is always cheaper than buying supposed "quality". The vast majority of the price on a popular brand is the brand name itself. Only cork sniffers think that a particular brand is $1,000+ better than the budget option. But idiots can be fooled into buying all kinds of stupid things that cost way less to make. People just want confirmation that the cost was justified. They're afraid to admit something cheaper can match it because they would feel like a fool for paying more.
So add 200 dollars of parts to a 150 dollar bass to achieve what total cost could have bought you anyway.....
People dont understand that you dont need to get everything at once. Get what you can when you can afford it. You can find used parts. Later on, you still have those parts if you need them. Mostly, people just like to complain in comment sections, and dont even intend on getting a bass in the first place. They get joy from crapping on other peoples ideas.
