I made one from a 29 ft camper but took all the angel iron out replaced it with 3/8 inch 1x3 tube stock and put more braces in it more than it had . 300 dollars of decking on it had a 9000 pound winch on it hauled all kind of things then soled it for 900 years later when my truck broke down.

Bout to start building something similar with a 22 foot camper trailer but I’m gonna mount a pop up camper on the front part of the trailer

Allways wanted to do this. Towing 3 drift cars to the track on a 16ft trailer multiple times is allways a drag

Beautiful job man. I'm getting ready to take on a very similar job. A camper frame and converting to a flatbed trailer. Without the side rails. But you did a great job and looks great. Thank you for the information stay safe!

Thanks for the positive comment. I would not do the rails again, would try and find strength somewhere else, maybe a rub rail. All of our machines are too wide now. lol. The way it goes.

The camper is part of the structure. Once thats removed you have to beef it back up with heavier steel and more bracing. As long as that thing is its always going to have flex in it.

The threads arent what holds the boards on. Its the head that holds. Now the running them halfway through the board isnt good, but, sometimes it happens to get the board to draw down. With all that said, they wasnt the right screws to start with. You dont use deck screws on a trailer lol. Flooring screws is what you need. Pre drill every hole and the screw taps itself in. In my non-professional opinion: You need to add a spinal torsion tube of 2 inches or more. Bridge arches are a very good design, but not enough for such dimensions.

@@twistedsxs2426 Hey it came out great good job! I took one is these and reinforced the frame with 4” C Channel snd cut it down from 26 ft to make a 18ft car hauler with a 2 ft dovetail and am making drive over fenders and maid it 92” wide. I also got another camper frame that’s 20ft long and maid it 8ft wide and built s tiny hosue on it!! And took a 5x10 small camper maid it into a trailer and welded 3ft tall sides and used expanded metal for the trailer to use it to haul atvs mowers or scrap metal or small demelition stuff.
