Thank you, I was looking for this. You would think they would have the decency to put it in the description when they talk about everything other than the topic in the title.

Thanks, seriously don't want to hear about other people's truck problems, I got enough trucks with enough problems lol
That was a great Dudley impersonation! And I also love John and all he does for the archery community! He is the guy that got me started on working on my own stuff!
I live in PA and traveled to Spokane to purchase a bow and checkout Josh's shop. It really is the coolest and most stocked archery shop you'll go to. I live close to Lancaster archery, they're stocked up...but knowledge and the team Josh has just can't be touched. Just my .2
Thank you both for your time and knowledge transfer!! The influence you two have is irreplaceable and appreciated more than you know. Be encouraged to continue what you’re both doing, and thank you again!
Agreed. Josh you are great. Lived in Liberty Lake back in '15 and had the pleasure of shooting both at. The indoor and outdoor range as well as having a new string and cable set put on. Both Josh and his employees were great. Thanks, keep it up and I still have family in WA that are newer to archery I send your way due to my positive experience
Yeah Josh, I hear what you’re saying that’s where I’m coming from. I’m in Ontario and they say their pro shops here but none of them know nothing and it’s coming to head where I had to go and buy a boat press in this and that and I still don’tunderstand it but I’m trying, so thank you
Hey Dan and MFJJ! I appreciate all the content that both of you provide and I'm constantly tinkering, trying to be a better bow hunter!!! I switched to archery back in 2011 and frequented SVA either buying a bow or getting equipment. I'm located in Post Falls, Idaho and it would be an honor to be featured in your broad head tuning 101 segment. Thanks again and keep doing what you do best! Cheers!
With regards to both of you. I've watched loads of both your videos and podcasts and have learn SOOO much from arrow builds, bow tunes, and gear switches. Both of you guys have inspired alot of people. Keep up the great work guys!
@1:02:28 This is money when it comes to sight tapes and shooting longer distances past 60yds. Commenting to save timestamp so I can keep coming back to this lol! Goodstuff MFJJ and Dan. Mahalos!
I want to come up and buy a bow from Josh, be tutored on building and tuning the whole thing as well as build some rip TKOs and get everything dialed. My stepdad passed at the end of last year, and shortly after my grandma (last grandparent living) came to my home for me to take full time care of her until she passed. Archery, and subsequently watching yours and Josh's videos, were some of the only things that helped keep me going. I'm grateful for the content you guys make because it's so positive. And I'm basically the exact same size as Dan so it helps a lot with where my goals are!
I always learn something new from you guys. I've been working on my own bows for about 2 years now. Pretty much self taught. But now, I at least go to the best at the trade for my information. Thank you. I'm gonna have to take a road trip one day and come out there. Hopefully get some pointers.
It may seem redundant to say at this point, but you guys talking about this topic is so sorely needed and appreciated! I hope you guys keep it coming!
I think this is one of my favorite videos! Appreciate you guys!!
Thanks so much for sharing the knowledge. I've been doing my own tuning along with doing my friends for about 4yrs now. Archery shops in my area just do not offer tuning to this level so I was forced to get my own equipment. Toolmaker by trade so always tinkering and nerding out is natural. Keep the Mohawk Josh cause yes if you could you would.
Love you both!!! You guys always share the info I need to make me a better archer. I Love finely working on my own bow and arrows. THANK YOU!!!

Right on!
I need more explanation on the last chance draw board being a half twist out of time?
Great conversation. Man that'll be awesome to tune my set up before mule deer season in NV. Right now I feel it's good but the peace of mind knowing my equipment is dialed would be great.
Great video. I think Dan and Josh pairing is great. I am learning and growing a lot through the information you provide.
❤always giving great information guys appreciate your time and sharing 🤘👍👊
Here in Wisconsin, we've had two seasons for a long time now, I'm 53, and we used to have such a beautiful fall, even in the city, lasted a while, now like 3 days colors then dead for winter. This area of the country has had weird weather one day snow5plus inches, 2 days later, 86degree. God Bless you guys, happy successful hunts to you all.
Great information! I'd drive to SVA for BH tuning from Bend. I was shooting yesterday with my BH sevr and toothofthearrow and constant 5" right at 40yds.
I love how Archery progresses
Very informative podcast so I had to watch the KZread version Great work Dan.....
Great podcast. Can't wait to see the fletching jig!
This video is so informative! Thanks for sharing great content!
Love you guys awesome 👏🏽 Thanks 🙏🏽
Josh, the "Hawk" looks great! Rock it!
A 4th video with MFJJ in one morning it's fantastic for my 3 hour drive.
the collaboration’s are great, keep on keeping on.
Great talk!!! After over 30 years of archery I'm starting to work on my own bows. My Dad is no fun to talk to over the phone!
Very informative. I just wish my ocd wouldn’t keep glancing up at the ceiling and the door being out of square 😂
Hey great video as always! I’d love to come to the shop for the broadhead tune. I’m about 2 1/2 hours away. I actually just dropped my bow off at SVA on Saturday to get tuned. I’m picking it up this Saturday (July first) if it’s done.
Looking good ! Just turned 44 today 6/26. Just keep moving !
Thank you, ABT
I just got the goat tuff fletcher based off your video. I really like it except the offset and helical only to the right. I just ordered the Arizona to the left from MFJJ. Love your guys content only wish you and Tim were still making content together.

Same here bought the goat, but it only fletches to the right. I think I’m going to flip the vane holders opposite direction and make indentation to fit the jig for a left helical or offset.
Love the discussions on tuning of all shapes! New Release! Have you tested how your buckle release does with glove? Will that affect release choice? If your ever in OK. hit me up. Spot and stalk pigs!
Seriously can’t get enough of MFJJ. He’s always sharing something new. I always learn something
Great channels like both your content it’s great.
So much info wow
We all know you are taking a dump on Zebra strings. 100% accurate! Tuned my Mathews every month, peep twist, so just say "no" to Zebra strings
Awesome video! Hey, I bought the goat tuff jig, but it only fletches right helical, bummed!
My bow is all fudged up at the moment, wish I was closer to come get that broadhead tune offer!
I have 2 of the goat tuff. They work 👍
I think it would be cool to do a video on how to start your own bow shop and maybe the ins and outs of how to run one.
Dan I'm a Westsider wa and have a main bow prime and back up bow hoyt that needs to be setup for broadheads would love to get expert advice from mfjj.thanks for all the info you guys are throwing down
Never had a QAD cord stretch. Used them for 14 Years exclusively.
Checking timing, draw board offset 🤯 Never heard this before. Always a nugget. Fletcher sounds interesting...
Is the right and low impact problem you were discussing at 1hr 7mins (approx) exclusive to right handed shooters or does it apply to left handed shooters as well? Or is a weak arrow out of a left hand bow hitting low and left?
I would make the drive. Really love your content. Recently just took the archery tech job. For the company i've been working for. Would love to pick your brain. Been running a small shop in my barn. Now i'm working at a retail establishment. Would really love the help to have more confidence in my abilities as an Archery technician.
I would definitely be interested in a broadhead tune for a bowtech just because when you guys say move the rest, well you can move the rest or the cams on a bowtech so which is correct? If I wasn’t in Arizona I would definitely come up for a in person lesson on tuning!
I’m about 4 hours away from you guys, I’d love to bring my bow over for a tune up!! Elk hunting Oregon this September😎

Actually 2 hours 30 minutes! Not a bad drive
So what about APA ? I just recently found their product. Guys I love this video. Hope you do the same on a routine basis. You two are my go to as a newbie.
So broadhead tuning, move rest towards field point. On a Mathews how does Top Hats effect broadhead impact? Shimming cams right moves impact right? Great content guys. 🔥
I had a strange experience the other day. I tried to bare shaft tune and no matter which way I put my rest it was nock left at 20 yards. I broadhead tuned instead with no problem.
Would love to come get my bow tuned by you guys.
I officially hit the notification bell
It seems like setting draw weight should be the first step after new strings/measuring factory spec for brace and A to A. Changing draw weight impacts cam timing and draw length. My process is 1) factory spec measurement/adjustment if needed 2) set draw weight 3) cam timing 4) rest install to center shot 5) paper shooting 6) adjust cam lean to get clean hole 7) shoot to break in strings 8) revisit steps 2-6 as strings settle in. In my experience changing draw weight after tuning can impact cam timing and draw length in a pretty significant way. Am I crazy? Haha.
If I can’t buy it from josh I don’t need it. lol. Podium archery is awesome love the content guys.
Biggest mistake I’ve made as a archer is thinking one side is right and one side is wrong I’ve missed out on learning so much because I was unwilling to listen as time goes by I realize that Josh is one of the top ogs in industry
Met both Dan and MFJJ at tac big sky this weekend. Solid dudes, but we all already knew that🤷♂️
Are any of the factory strings worth keeping? It seems like the Hoyt factory strings settle and stay pretty fixed. My local shop thinks Hoyt factory strings are pretty much on par with Gas, 60x, etc. Thoughts on any factory strings worth keeping? Thanks.
Hey guys I know you replace factory strings have you ever tried Joey's Bowstrings? I got a set for an older bow and boy they are nice.
So when you use a Last Chance draw board, you set the timing a half twist out. Which way? Which cam are you setting to hit first?
@codywahoski
Жыл бұрын
Wondering the same thing
1:08 of video - draw stops 1/2 twist out when using Last Chance Press and Draw Board attachments. So how do you correct this? Which draw stop do you want to hit first, top or bottom? And by how much? 1/2 twist equals what, 1/16th inch?
The goat fletching jig doesn’t have any options for left helical, only right. That seems to be the only downside, considering every string I’ve had clocks left.
Love the mohawk
I heard MFJJ say to skip bareshaft tuning but what if you added tape to the bareshaft to compensate for vanes? Would that make the bareshaft tuning worth it?
Do you HAVE to refletch?? Is it not ok to have the nock line up in between two fletching? If so, what does it do?
Look for Dan with a Subaru and face mask now 😮
I'll come to Spokane and shoot! I have a bear agenda 6 that I bought new sight, rest, etc for last year. got it pretty dialed last year, but its not so much now, kind of starting fresh again. I have new string and cables on order. Sign me up for a tune with you guys!
I would love to come up and tune my bow. I live in California and most the bow shops I’ve been in have absolutely sucked. At one point my field point was shooting straight but as soon as I popped on a broadhead even just at 30 yards my arrow dropped into the dirt and way right from the target. After finding a decent shop and tinkering myself, I’ve fixed it a bit but every shop here feels like they have their set opinions and don’t set up your bow to the shooters liking.
I am looking into buying my first big boy bow I currently shoot a Blackout from Cabalas any recommendations
What size and kind of arrow would you recommend for someone with a 32” draw length?
🏹🎯
Can anyone explain the “why” behind left/right adjustments are the opposites of up/down in BH tuning? Baffles me every time
Guarantee John isn't offened. Great guy. Him and Sharon are so humble
You need to post overseas MFJJ you would have more customers if you posted to Australia! Tried to buy stuff off your website the other day and found out you don’t post to us over here, so now have to go elsewhere.
I'm in Spokane and would be down to be a tuning guinea pig. Available pretty much anytime.
Had a 1981 crewcab that was my baby ..called em dusty but it was more like Christine!!!! By Steven King
"I didnt know you transitioned" hahaha 😂
Can you use a hha sight setup tap on black gold ?
Yo Dan infant has been doing the icognito car for years. He’s got a hatch back with a sticker that says “I brake for raccoons” and he shows up yo scout in bird watching gear. It’s hilarious. He’s got a vid on the hunting beast channel
Hello how are you? I'm from Prince Island Canada. I'm just getting back into Archery after 20 years. Is there any chance I can sign up for one of your camps.
Used to love whitetail plus sad to see them go
1:08.00 ELABORATE ON THIS. THE ACTUAL VERTICAL DISTANCE OF WHERE THE DRAW CORD IS IN RELATION TO THE GRIP STOP ON THE PRESS OR DRAW BOARD? IE: MIMECK THE DISTANCE 1:10:09 FROM GRIP TO BURGER ?

The Tacoma is only a step behind the Subaru in transitioning...
Shhh, Dan 😂. I’ve been driving my wives Subaru scouting the last few years!
That fletching jig is on Ethics archery
I live 4 hours away and willing to do this.
Josh, why not try a mohawk beard? Good information from you guys, thanks!

Good idea!
Did you find someons to broadhead tune? I am close and would be a perfect candidate. With my out of tune bow
Just curious why u wouldn't include APA ?
Shouldn’t moving cam be the last thing?
Super underrated comment.
I must be high level. Bare shaft tuning works no change after fletch. 3 fletch vanetec. Easy button
“What happened to truck prices?” This is what 0% interest gets you. The price of anything you can take out a loan on just skyrockets due to an artificial increase in demand
