My KM500 recently did this due to heavy calcium and lime scale build up. Used Tri-Sodium Phosphate and a long scrub brush and it was good as new.

The bin stat is a good one. Had one where I would go out the next day or 2 and it wasn’t iced up and it was running. 3rd visit over 2 year period I got there before the cook was able to turn it off and into wash. Evap was iced up and it was full bin. Bin stat wasn’t opening

it was 6:08PM when It started making ice... get your tech specs book, no!!!!!! no!!!!!!!! no!!!!!!!!!!!!!! get your stooge junktronics devices out and spend 500x the time waiting for the internet connection, website, application(saas/web/not local) to work right, so you can then spend 200x more time finding the right manual/guide, to need and load some special viewer program, which yet requires a login and payment or just 3 to 5x logging into the devices account and multiple agreements including every verification known/unknown to humans :)) tired of junk, physical hard copy manuals work the best as they have for many years, as well as hands on knowledge/training and skills passed down!

Organization is key...I have countless manuals in pdf that are labeled correctly for easy access no different than if I had 50 books thrown everywhere in the van. You gotta use what you're comfortable with also otherwise that 6pm will turn into 6 am disaster 😂. If paper is your tool no problem but nothing wrong phone/tablet. 👊👍

And I totally understand tb's frustration it can get ridiculous finding the correct material online. I always tend to rename the file to a model# that way it's easy to pull up but that is just what works for me... Also the variety of refrigeration eq I see week in and week out is a little nuts😂
