How to Trim Toddler/Kids Hair | 4c Fine Natural Hair

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This is Ava! She is 5 and I have been trimming her hair since she was 2. She has fine, 4c, medium density hair that is very fragile. I don't get a chance to maintain the health of her hair all the time; so I have been keeping up on her trims to promote thickness, health, and length. Enjoy!

Thanks for posting this how-to. My 8yr old daughter has very sandy-brown hair which seems to be the same 4c type of your little one. I have seen her hair grow, split, and break...repeat. Stylists trim heavy and then we start the cycle all over. Fragile is also a perfect way to describe her hair. I've noticed how quickly her edges break when there's too much tension. I take better care to manage this now. Based on your video I successfully pressed and trimmed her hair (first time in a while). I'll continue to check her ends/length over the next 4mos. Please continue to post. Are you a professional stylist or passionate about haircare? Either way...thankyou!

My 3 year old has the exact same hair. Any tips on leave in conditioner? It’s so soft and fine and fragile, I can’t do any complicated hairstyles because I have to moisturize so often to make sure it doesn’t dry out and break. I’m trying to learn as we go

Do 1 inch sections when wet using conditioner and a fine tooth comb and stretch the hair. Or braid it to stretch it and do small sections

I was the same way, never needed ends cut as a child but I noticed both my girls have split ends and hair not going past a certain length so I trim.
