Okay, a few questions. 1. Am I allowed to put any kind of toys in the cage while flying? 2. I am going on a mission trip over the summer for my church. Its only for a week but I'm afraid that if I leave my child (Bird) at home my family might kill it. (I don't trust them that well) I asked my pastor if I'm allowed to bring my bird and he said it's okay (He knows the condition of my house hold) Because the bus driver allows it. But the only condition is I have to put the bird either with me on the bus (In the cage) OR under the bus with the luggage. I already understand that if I take my bird out on the bus, he may get scared and fly or poop everywhere. But then again if I put him below the bus, he may get lonely and it may be too loud for him. What should I do here? 3. My bird is a shy bird. Very happy and social with me and my little brother and at least 1 of my friends, but TERRIFIED of everybody else. I want to help him get over this fear. Should I take him out more often and on more trips? I have a backpack for birds but the bird still might be scared... Please wright back soon! :)

Hello, 1. Don't put any toys inside the cage because of movements during the ride, which might cause the toys to hit your bird and hurt him. 2. If you have an option to seat with your bird on the bus, then you should definitely do that. I don't know which type of bird you have, whether it's a big bird or not, you should put him in a not to big of a cage, in comparison to the bird's size of course. Put a towel in the bottom on the cage to prevent slipping and without any perches! Your bird will be able to grasp the towel. You can use, as said in the video, a cuttlebone or millet branch in the cage to lower his stress, and don't forget food and water as described in the video. While traveling, cover the entire cage and only leave a small uncovered part that will allow your bird to see you and breath fine. 3. Don't take your bird on this trip unless you *have* to. There is also no need of putting him in stress just to make him get over its shyness, it's a bird not a human, that shyness is something he has to live with. And that's how it should be. If you're traveling with him, take into consideration whether you will be able to care for him while doing so, because you don't want him to seat inside his cage all week long, it will cause him depression along with his stress of new environments. If you didn't understand something, we're here to help. Good luck :)

Hi, You need to reach the airline company you'll be going with. They might not accept birds onboard, you need to ask them about their policy. Anyhow, some countries prohibit birds from entering before they have gone through vaccines, quarantines and such, so please advise with your vet on that as well. Most chances are that your birds will need to be quarantined when you arrive, for about a month, separately. It's a long and stressful process with a lot of paperwork, so I would suggest on starting as soon as possible. Good luck :)

It's ideal to get a transport cage which are smaller and easier to carry both by your hands and car. About the AC, as long as your cocktail is covered and the AC is just soothing the car and not freezing it, you should be fine. Make sure to check for It's temperature by holding it on your finger, if it's feet are cold then it's time to give the AC a break for a little while.

I am considering to have a pet bird, but when my family was going to travel, I really want to take the bird too. But sadly the airlines and planes in my country doesn't allow pets on cabin, they only allow pets to be put on cargo :'(, I know putting pets in cargo are dangerous. But even if I left the bird, no one will take care of the bird with so much care...
