The mountains across the bay could just be a massive national park/nature reserve with really nothing done to it except maybe a small amount of hunting cabins and a couple trails. I can imagine an episode of survivor being shot over there 😂

Watched the vid with my 11yo son who also plays CS and we started talking about the simulation of time in the game versus how time works in the real world, then we talked about the history of football, then wound up talking about the nature of perception, experience, spirituality, positive and negative energy, magnetism, the force, evolution, androgyny, gender fluidity, and the meaning of life. All testament to the power of a great game and high quality content. So thanks for making the vids that can become the catalyst for deep philosophical heart to heart convos between a father and a son. P.S. modded CS1 still rules! and yes, I did consume a few pints of Valkyrie Bitter which tends to lubricate the philosophical mechanisms and promote lucidity.

Absolutely amazing Flags blows me away how you came up with the designs, great work Tezza! Lovely suburb, would be very happy to have a house here. I think a small bus route through this suburb that takes people to the next mass-transit station would make sense. It seemed to me quite a bit of a walk - though cims walk for miles anyway and we don't want people to take their car to the CBD right? 🙂

First time commenting but you should definitely try building on the island! Australia has plenty of cool islands to look at like Magnetic Island, Fraser Island or Rottnest Island in Perth :)

For the Volcano Research center, in an Island I would recomend you to check in Tenerife (Or similar others in the Canaries Islands). As the biome is more similiar to the dry aussie you are using than lets say Hawaii.

Hey Egg, fantastic build as always! Two (funny) things I noted... 1. Don't provoke the massive spiders 2. People disappearing into a statue...in CS2 that would be considered validation for a witch burning 🤣

Your cinematic work is always gorgeous the bit I loved today was near the beginning - the aerial over the vineyard. Chef's kiss. When you first started in Thessia, I was unsure of the build and a rail start bit it absolutely blossomed. ❤

18:30 For the volcano, what I've done in the past is use a bunch of the upward facing red and orange flood lights and some of the flashing stage lights and clustered them into the caldera. Once I had all of the lights in place, I added a bunch of steam and smoke spawners over them all to sort of hide them. I've even added a small puddle of water inside the caldera to hide things a bit better and even give the appearance of "lava" flowing out (so long as you give the "river" the same light/steam/smoke treatment). Looks amazing at night so long as you're not looking straight down into the caldera, not so much during the day because the lights obviously turn off, and in both cases, absolutely tanks the frame rates when you look at it... So I don't recommend making a really big volcano or lava flows unless someone has an asset that can be used instead and plopped like rocks.

I think the surf rescue needs the ramp facing the water, lifeguards use them for quick access to water, but another great build Egg.

Love the Friday Thess and Chill. Just can't get enough of Thessia. Airport build should be a lot of fun. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us. 🧡

All the different levels of height make this narrow strip between the highway and coast look so good. This is a really great build in a relatively small area! Thanks for another cosy video OE, have a great weekend!

crater lake in Oregon, USA is a lake that filled up an extinct volcanic caldera, could be a good inspiration for a sort of nature park based build around the volcano, and then the flowing water could be part of the eruption. some opportunities for really exciting rock formations from the erupting magma hitting water.

That's a really great looking map and the city design is looking great as well. I just finished buying the last few DLC's while ago when they were on sell on steam. My collection is now complete and I can officially proclaim that I own every single DLC of Cities Skylines 1 and it's been a very expensive process over the year's I guess that I've spent over three hundred dollars on purchasing all the DLC's but it's definitely worth every penny that I've spent just because of the fact for steam's workshop of assets and mod's. I will forever be a Cities Skylines 1 player for so many awesome reasons not least is the fact that it's the greatest city builder to ever have existed but also because there has been so much support from the fans of the game and even while the second game is out thier still people playing and creating assets for Cities Skylines 1, all that combined make me believe that this game will forever be my favorite game of all time's...💯👍

CS2 put all it's eggs into the simulation basket, and outside of that not many features really feel like an improvement on even vanilla CS1. Some I'd even argue are objective downgrades (See literally anything to do with Detailing). Road building, Network stuff, and actual mid-density/mixed-use are the only things I'd say it does better.

If you’re still wondering about AFL, basically, thirty something people wearing short pants kick the ball around and tackle each other for the ball, and if the ball gets kicked in between the middle post, it’s six points, and in between the outer points, 1 point (yes, you get points for missing your target). But who knows how they play it in Thessia?

They don't play it in Thessia. They have their own version which involves three teams working through a cycle of Valkyrie Bitter, wine from the vineyard, and gin from the distillery for thirty minutes apiece. The balls are used for sitting on, and the posts for leaning. Occasionally one gets thrown at someone for disparaging one of the other towns/cities or calling Jerry's dad something not very nice. After the inevitable resulting fisticuffs, make up hugs, sing-songs, and more drinking, the last person who can both stand AND talk while belching the Thessian national anthem is declared the winner.

Your subscribers are so talented in making the awesome assets that they have made for you. Huge props to those creators! Great build Egg I love Thessia. I had started a city on this map and I need to get back to it.

Absolutely love how it goes in layers that complement each other like the district you just built going into the city itself. So realistic and all the touches you put into the new district, just makes it look so good!! I swear I was mesmerized with the music you played while you detailed and was in a zombie state and thoroughly enjoying it! What music was that? Really love Thessia!! Great job🤩 Quickly, have you ever thought about a road construction site where they have to take a detour until the road is built? Not sure there are any decorations to do that but might look cool somewhere 😊 And also the mountains! I live in the mtns. They build houses etc everywhere 😄

@@OVERCHARGEDEGG I think that across the highway in Ascension or by the coast near the new industry you made a few episodes ago; that way you can maybe justify having the airport even more because tourists would definitely need it.

Love the flags, give so much personality to the city! And great way to fill in the space away from the city. For the volcano did you consider trying to change the colour of polluted water in Theme Mixer to a red/orange colour and getting polluted water running down from it?
