Its not possible to purify something like that.Unfortunately the need to present a “cute intro” is over riding everything.I have seen some people pick up nightstands from thrift stores( nightstands where people put q-tips,condoms,foot cream etc) and convert them into pooja mandirs.Heres hoping better sense prevails.Jai Shri Krishna🙏
