Method 1 is the best!!! I’ve been dragging and dropping them for years, this way it’s soooo much easier!!!! After setting it up to a empty folder labeled 2020, anytime when I take a photo it’s automatically saved to that folder in my pc. If I delete the picture off my phone it still stays in that folder. Perfect!! THANK YOU!!!

Nonting worked for me and dropbox worked so I am so happy now ty.

in the time it takes to do this, but also for icloud to recognize your photo library, and then again for you to receive the photos on your pc without any download stats whatseoever, your entire day is completely shot because you wanted to transfer files that on any other device it takes 10 minutes

You seem to jump certain aspects, like where do I get iCloud photos on my PC??? I only have the icloud icon?

Same thing at first for me, then just started clicking lol. At the top you’ll see 'download photos and video' and 2 other options beside that. Click on that and a pop up will come up. Hopefully that was helpful.

Thank you for the easy to follow instructions! Watching & learning on 8/26/2019.

Theres a much easy process now, you can open Microsoft Photos app on Win10 and Win8 PC and on the top right corner theres an option "import" click that then select "Import from USB device" the photos app on pc will scan the iphone for all the pics, select the ones you want to import and hit "import". there u go

Hi Briana, When downloading photos from iCloud.com, you can select multiple photos by holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, and clicking on the photos you want to select.

Use the alt key. Apple really suck because they don't even have an option to "Select All" or to click and drag over multiple images. You literally have to select each one while holding alt. So frustrating.

And my second question is, if I save my photos, via method two, then is it ok to delete them off of my I phone X. If I delete them will they be saved on my computer. Thank you. Jessica, after downloading my iCloud photo lib using iCloud for windows to my computer, my question is, I have to create a folder and save all or selected from the photo lib so that I would not lose them? I am concerned about the note in my iphone iCloud memory that if I disabled iCloud in 30 days I would lose the iphone photo lib I downloaded to my computer? I'm over 70, a newbie and I don't want to start over again. No pun intended. BTW well done and thanks.

Hi Ron, You can copy all the photos from your iCloud photo library and paste them into another folder on your computer if you want to have a backup copy just in case!

Having iPhone is good yeah that's for sure, but how bad is to transfer a 4k video of 30 Minutes ... specially using any of those methods Hope there were a way to transfer it via wifi connection ( third party app )

I would like to use iCloud, but feel hesitant because of all the Hackers out there. I once had an iCloud service that began organizing my photos by listing the photos I took, this week, last week, naming my contacts, location etc. I said to myself this is way to intrusive. It was almost as if my private pictures became public ! For now I think I'll just use the send to email function, thank you very much.

i hv all of my photos in individual photo albums. how do transfer the individual photo albums instead of each individual photo?

Could it work for my hp laptop ?

These methods help when you want to edit things on your pc but your pc is not your best recording option edit: wow my comment got highlighted

I have not yet found a way of downloading my photos and videos. I can't use i-Cloud because it does not have enough room and I don't want to buy space I don't use. The same goes for dropbox, I have enough space for my general use but not a spare 20GB and I don't want to buy it. Using file explorer on PC works briefly but always 'stops' after a few hundred photos (out of 4000+). iTunes doesn't do photo or video files. Zapya fails. I guess I am going to have to buy commercial software or delete most from phone (tedious) before using file explorer. I don't see me me buying an iPhone again.
