Sakitech did an excellent step-by-step to walk me through the process of transferring my contacts from Android to iPhone. I watched his video for 10-20 seconds, then did that much myself, then resumed the video for the next step, then did the next step. Saki is an excellent instructor in this technical process. To quote the Terminator - "I'll be back..."

sadly, Google mail interface has changed, I can't figure out how to acess "contacts" as described in video! the Gmail icon with small downward carrot is no more! Sad!

i can consider this as one of the best videos i had ever see, short, useful and to the point FIVE STARS RATING

my phone syncs all contacts everyday as documented in my phone. none of the contacts show up in my gmail. I am so over Samsung android, which changes desk top setup randomly.

It happened to me to. What I did is that I went to my contacts on my phone. --> tapped the menu for the contacts and clicked on MANAGE CONTACTS. --- Then I went to Import/Export contacts ... And then I selected SHARE VISIBLE CONTACTS. And I sent it to the drive.... Then I manually went to the GMAIL and imported the contacts. Edited and erased the old contacts and then followed this video. IT WORKED.

Are your contacts saved on your SIM card as a pose to on your device if so watch a video on how to transfer them from the sim to device. As I had this same problem

If all of your contacts are saved on the SIM card then u need to import from SIM card to your Google account. Then, sync the contacts again on the Google account.

Thanks for the great video. I finally had to do this for someone here at work and I only had to add one step. The phone was new and had never logged into iCloud before so I had to make that connection in order to get the "Contacts" icon to appear on the iCloud web page - also the user was totally new to an iPhone so that took some schoolin' also. Anyone checking in from 2018, yes this still works, and instantly. Just used a video from 2015 to transfer contacts from a cheap Alcatel phone to a new iPhone Xs. One difference though: you can't really access contacts from Gmail anymore. Just log in to the account that has your contacts on google, and do a google search for "google contacts." Only way I found to access it.
