If you want to know more lore there's three tv shows to look at, the first two "riders of berk" and "race to the edge" recap the 5 yeas between the first two movies (and they are as well written as the movies) and the third one "dragon: the nine realms" take place in modern times ( hiccup's descendant discover the hidden world and he and his friends try to protect it from being discovered by scientists, while explore it themselves) some people like it and others no, I'm not sure exactly how good it's since I only watched 2 of the 8 seasons.

Fun fact: Kit Harington (Jon Snow) tweeted a poster of this film with Hiccup, Astrid, their kids, and the dragons with the caption “I’m gonna tell my kids this is how Game of Thrones ended.” 🤣

24:24 I think the reason the lightning didn't affect Hiccup is because he's wearing Toothless' dragon scales and toothless most likely channels the lightning into himself to go invisible which is a throwback to the original book we saw in the first movie when Hiccup was learning more about Night Fury's they were called "The unholy spawn of LIGHTNING and death itself"

I only wish that they developed the light furrys personality more if you saw the cutted sences you would see her personality is more like thootless but sadly they scraped those sences

I sobbed so hard watching this.

The Light fury is a subspecies of the Night fury (think domestic cats with cats like the serval or caracal). They aren't entirely the same as Night furies physically, but seem to be adapted to be smaller and more lithe, while also lacking the need to retract their teeth, and better in terms of camoflauge.

The final ending is actually happy because it’s confirmed that Hiccup and Astrid regularly go see Toothless and his family. There’s also a good Christmas special about Hiccup and his kids and there’s 3 good shows that flesh out the world especially the last one, plus it also develops Hiccup’s and Astrid’s relationship.

This is my personal favorite of the trilogy and It's really underrated. HTTYD 3 doesn't deserve the hate

The short version of what I’m trying to say: TL;DR: The first tv show in this franchise (Riders/Defenders Of Berk to Race To The Edge) as well as all the short films are really good and I would really like it if you would react to them or at least watch it on your own time if you’re not gonna react to it on camera. I would really like to see more creators reacting to this show. The long version: This franchise has 3 movies and 3 different tv series’s as well as 2 Christmas themed short films, two non-Christmas short films and one short film that basically looks like a tv show episode. And while the two newer tv series’s are trash I would (depending on how much you enjoyed the movie/s) „highly“ recommend you to check all of the 5 seasons of the original tv series (Dragons: Riders Of Berk Season 1, Dragons: Defenders Of Berk Season 2 and Dragons: Race To The Edge Season 3 to 5 (RTTE has it’s own season count of season 1 to 6 since it’s much bigger than riders and defenders.)) as well as the short films preferably (for us) on KZread and/or Patreön but if you don’t want to at least alone off cam because even though there isn’t that many people who watched the tv show after the movie/s it’s really good! Though my guess to why so many people never watched it is probably because they think it’s for children and for children only even though it’s for about the same audience as the movies. In my personal opinion I would rank Dragons: Race To The Edge at about the same height as the first movie if not even higher and then Defenders, then Riders, then the first Christmas short film, than the sequel and then the other short films and then the threequel. Though opinions may differ. Also RTTE really picks up after season 1 of RTTE. And Dragons: Rescue Riders is a kids show and Dragons: The Nine Realms is so bad that you can’t even tell who the intended audience is because unless you’re a braindead 4 year old you’ll probably stop watching after the first episode because of how poorly written, designed and animated everything is. I think almost everyone ranks Rescue Riders and 9 Realms at the bottom of their tier list. Though I personally would really REALLY like seeing more people reacting to at least D:RTTE if nothing else since there is so many reactions to the movies but so little reactions to the tv series. Of course each individual episode isn’t as high quality as the movies because obviously they needed to pump out more episodes in a shorter amount of time compared to the movies where they had more time to produce an over an hour long movie. But the story, plot, narrative, characters and music are all still really good in the tv series. Also Fishlegs, Sir Snotsalot and The Nuts are all relevant main characters in the series. You also learn how the All the vikings learn to integrate dragons into their society and how for example Hiccup gets is flight suit or his flame sword. The only thing that tanked more heavily is the quality of the visuals but it gets much better in RTTE and it’s never so bad you can’t watch it. It’s still really good. It’s just much much worse compared to the movies. The tv show has over 100 episodes that are all over 20 minutes long. Also the show has really good villains and they get better every time they introduce a new one. And the villains from the show are much much better than the ones in the movies. In summary, The movies have beautiful animations and scenery while the tv shows have much better character writing and world building. I probably will or already have reused this comment under other newer HTTYD reactions in hopes of getting someone to start a reaction series for the Dragons tv series wich is why I put so much effort into writing it. Also I don’t know how to make this comment shorter while still being able to make my point. I would enjoy you (or anyone) reacting to the tv series but if ya don’t then that’s your choice. I can’t blame you. I can only give it my best shot to convince you or anyone who’s reading this to give it a shot but if ya don’t then ya don’t it ain‘t the biggest deal in the whole world.

These guys crapping on hiccup for not realizing that the bad guy was using the lightfury to get what he wanted, and yet the only reason they know that is because they are watching the movie. They defined wouldn't be smart enough to realize that so why should hiccup?
