I appreciate how you always share a lot of tips on how to take care of your dog. One thing I have noticed on all your videos, especially on this one, it says "how to train your dog when living in an apartment," you can go off the specific topic. This video doesn't actually talk and show about how to potty train indoor.

I followed this rule when my Zoe was tiny. 6-8weeks old, I spent DAYS without leaving my house and took her out every hour. Even at night. It is hard but SO SO worth it.

I love your videos and have been following your training tips with great results. But my puppy is little confused between the cue for “touch” and the cue for “shake a paw”. How can I help him differentiate between the two commands?

Hi Rachel! My 1 yr old Eve is an Aussiedoodle 48-50lbs. She is about the same size as Marlowe. What size Diggs crate do you use for her?

I'm having difficulty with one of the two puppies I have. They're 5 months old. One of them mostly gets the concept of doing it on the pad but the other keeps peeing on the floor. The thing is, he does it when I'm gone for a second or preoccupied. But when he's in front of me he'll do it on the pad. Which I find very odd. I live in an apartment so it's not that easy to take them right away downstairs all the time.

My dog is 17 weeks and is still having accidents. She loves her crate. She has a huge back yard but the doors to go outside are in a room that we aren't always in. We listen to all your videos and I'm just wondering if this is just her age.

Hi! I am implementing your potty training method and wanted to know if I take the puppy out to use the restroom every 1-3 hours during the night do I do that for the rest of his life? If not, what does the nighttime routine after this?

My puppy is 8 weeks, when we take her to the potty area after being crated or playing etc. she will lay down or chew the potty pads. I sit and wait about 5-10 min but she won’t go. And then pee somewhere else. Also, our apartment is on the third floor and she will pee on the way to being outside. I’ve resorted to carrying her but she’s going to be a large dog. I’m unsure how much longer I can carry her down three flights. If you have any other words of advice that would be greatly appreciated I’m feeling rather defeated. I know she’s young and still has time but I’m just concerned she doesn’t get it and won’t get it.

I always wonder why people get dogs (especially larger or multiple dogs) when they live in small appartments. Dogs should be able to move around, run and play (also inside) and play in the garden or terrace etc….
