  • @griffinsward

    @griffinsward

    They could be either. Like you could say shooting is a weakness but maybe your shooting form is a specific part of your game you need to work on. But to make it more simple I would say just like shooting dribbling driving defending.

    I always think about going to the NBA, but I always compare that goal and how much work I'm putting on it. How I want to go to NBA if I don't work hard enough? That's like having unrealistic expectations, gotta get the work in 🔥

    How do I “push myself” when he says “push, adjust, then push”? Ik what “pushing yourself” means obviously but how do I do that when working out by myself?

  • @griffinsward

    @griffinsward

    7 ай бұрын

    You can do it by doing drills that are hard, drills that make you mess up. Like you shouldn’t go through a whole workout session not messing up and doing easy things the whole time. An example is doing a dribbling drill and mess up, mess up, mess up. But eventually you’ll get it. Then once you get it, do something a little harder mess up, mess up, mess up and then you’ll eventually get it then do something a little harder. It’s a cycle of pushing your self. Also another way to push yourself is doing drills that make you physically tired.

  • @Theyfw_hoopin

    @Theyfw_hoopin

    7 ай бұрын

    For example, if ur doing ball handling, this means losing the ball or it being out of control. I'm pretty sure a channel called Vision driven basketball explains it pretty well but in recap, he basically stressed the Goldilocks principle. The goldilocks principle is basically to do something not too hard or something you're not comfortable with. For example if you can't do a reverse lay up, you shouldn't be trying to learn to jelly. You have to stick to the fundamentals and work on those fundamentals with drills. And what he means by "push and adjust, then push" means to push yourself with drills that are not too hard but not easy for your skill level, then once you get good at those drills that aren't too easy, you find a harder drill that's not too hard and not easy then adjust to that drill then find a harder one. hope this helps

  • @Theyfw_hoopin

    @Theyfw_hoopin

    7 ай бұрын

    So it's basically a continuous cycle. I personally split each category I work on which is finishing, ball handling, shooting, and conditioning, then rest day and flex day. This way I can apply the Goldilocks principle to every single aspect of these which helps me get better at all of these every week. Also, conditioning is just doing cardio and running to prepare my body for full court games since my nearby court is not even a halfcourt
