Also there was this one time I was running and my shoe laces got un tied and we where in a race and I’m like no no no I’m with you it’s embarrassing

I never really learned to tie my shoes. I'd always beg mom to buy velcro shoes when I was younger and she'd always give in, which in turn stunted my growth on shoe-tying. Even when I got laced shoes, I'd use lock ties to keep them in place. In 6th grade I learned how to tie my shoes and I made to tradition to tie them once and never again so I could slip them on. Whenever they became loose or untied, I was always humiliated to ask for help tying them back. This video literally made me feel so proud of myself. Thank you.

My whole life Iv been doing the “bunny ears” knot and Iv always seen people tie standard knots and never knew how they did it, I seen them do it but it just seemed to difficult and no matter how many times I tried I couldn’t figure it out, this video helped me learn something Iv been trying to learn for since I was 6, im 20 years old and I’m proud to say I can finally tie a standard knot. I learned an unconventional method from my grandpa and it is faster and stronger. It just looks uglier than this so I’ve decided to learn this too for the shoes I want to look good. Thanks for helping.

I am trying to show my son and I am confusing him but he wore vans for longer than we care to admit and only just realized he can not properly tie a shoe.. he is not exactly a tiny dude anymore (11). We've showed him before but because he never wore tie shoes he didn't care. Now he has Nikes and came to me. Im 32 and had to tie a patient's shoe in Physical Therapy clinic. I failed in front of about 5 people when I did the double loop tie method and his shoelaces were too short. I told him if he did his exercises at home I would go learn how to tie shoes properly.

I think this video is very underrated it’s nice simple and short I really think more people should like this

Many thanks, I remember not getting this type of knot in my childhood when my dad tried to teach me for over half an hour. Eventually I stuck to the double knot method. Good to learn this today, you won't believe, it still took me half an hour to get this right 😅

When he puts the straight shoe lace over his fingers that are pinching the other shoe lace at 0:59 it creates a space between the two shoe laces, take the straight shoe lace and pull it through the space between the straight lace and the pinched lace and it will create the knot.
