I’ve actually never been taught the proper way to tie a shoe and my parents would always complain about my laces being loose xD

Let’s admit it, a lot of us are here because we forgot how to tie our shoes during quarantine

Pulling the tension through right before the end is the hard part but I found that it can work about the same with this method too. Thank you. I sometimes tie this knot 15 time in a row at work to hang stage curtains.

Awesome, I never had anyone in my life to teach my basic life skills like tying my shoes so I've had to teach myself a lot of things. This is a small thing, but I just wanted to thank you for this video. I also used to struggle with tying my shoes even as and adult. Then I learned this and my life changed. I don't leave my shoes tied when I take them off anymore. It sucks that the powers that be established "bunny runs around the tree and into its hole" as the dominant method for teaching shoe-tying. It can never be done as fast as this method. There's no good reason I can think of to do it that way over this way.

I’m 9, and ik this trick but the people who explained it made the explanation really complicated, but this guy said the explanation with words a 4 year old can understand, thnx man!

Honestly, This is the only video I've seen that actually helped. The only thing is it doesn't matter if the right string is furthest away. Either or it still works.

Why didn't I learn this until recently?! I've been using the bunny loops method my whole life, this is much better and faster.
