I never measure rigs because i dont think it has to be that accurate i have fished for carp 40 years my best is a 68LB common caught in france i thinl it's a personal choice how we prepare our rigs

@paraffinalien I do agree with you. There is no need to be this accurate when tying rigs like this. However, using thia method helps cut down on wasted hooklink material, helps promote a sense of pride in tying rigs. Also ig you fish a lake like a syndicate wayer where you've figured out the length of the rig that works, you can duplicate it many times with incredible accuracy and make tying rigs in bulk much easier and takes the guess work out of it.
