    Thank you for all the tutorials! I am dealing with numb hands and feet- doing this type of bead work is proving to help increase my dexterity and helps me readjust to doing fine tasks with diminished feeling in my fingers

    Oh I'm so glad you're finding it helpful Katherine. We've heard similar things from other people who've written in over the years and it's always so nice to hear. Thank for watching, and happy beading!

    Beadaholique can you do a video on how to get good tension on jewel loom when using more than 10 warp threads? I always get some that are too loose and have to put a dowel under the jewel loom between the threads that loop around and the loom to tighten those warp threads

    We were just talking about this with another commenter who was reporting problems keeping tension with wider jewel loom projects. Now we haven't run into that ourselves, but it's been awhile since we've done a wide project. If we can re-produce the problem we'll absolutely do a video on ways to avoid it. Can I ask what thread you're using? Is it Nymo or something else?

    Your video is a big help because the other videos don't show how to knot the thread when weaving the thread through the rows of beads. Thanks a bunch!!

    I love watching your videos, they are very explicit and informative. I was wondering if you could help me with attaching a metal connector to the middle of a loom bracelet. I've searched all over the web and have seen pictures of it, Etsy has patterns of it...but the instructions are in a foreign language and when I tried to translate it, a lot was "Lost in Translation"! Any help, either printed or video would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for any suggestions you may have...Stay Safe

    Is this a little like the sort of connector you're talking about? beadaholique.com/products/connector-link-stitch-in-6mm-2-pieces-bright-gold-by-tierracast We did a video a few weeks ago about how to hand-weave them into a peyote stitch. We haven't featured anything quite like that in a loom video yet, but take a look at the second half of this video embellishing loom pieces with metal components: kzread.info/dash/bejne/d5V5sbKgctC3pJs.html The way Alexandra adds in the two hole beads should give you a sense of what it's like to loom a multi-hole connector into the middle of a piece.

    Thank you for sharing this video, so how much thread in length will be needed in total to make let's say a 1.5" bracelet & how long should the needle be?

    I have two questions: 1) Do I need that equipment that's holding all the beads in place? 2) Can I use as many beads as I want or it only has to be 15?

  • @beadaholique

    @beadaholique

    1. The loom equipment keeps the threads at a consistent tension, without it you may find the beads on your finished piece bunching together unevenly. This technique also requires two hands, if you don't use a loom you will need to anchor both sides of the thread some other way. 2. You can use as many threads and beads as will fit on your loom and needle. We used 15 for this project because it's a good fit for the tube clasps we use to finish the piece and make it wearable. Finishing loom pieces can be tricky, there aren't a lot of other ready-made ways to turn loom work into bracelets. Here's a link to another method we've found that will work well with wider pieces: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fohqt8yen8rPcrw.html

    Beautiful bracelet. You are actually supposed to remove the metal rod after you put on the warp threads. It helps with the tension.
