How to tie a Truelove Necktie Knot
The Truelove knot is a complex knot that is divided into four distinct quadrants, it sometimes resembles a heart, or a cross, or t-shape. The knot was invented by Elliot Truelove. It is tied with the little end and the extra fabric is tucked into the collar like the Trinity or Eldredge knots. This is probably the most complicated knot to tie and it will take considerable practice. But it is certainly worth the effort. If you want to take it up a notch, consider doing it with a stripped tie, Eiliot calls that the Pinwheel knot and you can see it here: • Truelove Knot - Pinwheel

Love your videos on knots.... Everyone stops me asking how I did the knots you taught me. Will be doing the Truelove knot this coming Friday.

Thanks! Happy to hear it. Send me a pic
Mr. Kransy, Hope all is well and you are continuing to bring knots easy instructions. Thanks and keep up the good work.
There's a KZread channel 'Who Sees This' and he does a video on the Pendant knot and the Open Heart knot. I'd rather watching you, Mr. Krasny because you're straightforward with instruction. Thank you for your time!
Thank you for making it simple! 12 mins of babbling and you break it down in 4! #KnotLife
Seriously thank you. Your videos are amazing and so many people have complimented on the ties you teach and always have people asking how to do em. But I have wanted to learn this knot and Elliot's videos just are not "knot tying" quality. Thank you.
You sir are a hero to men.
I watched Eliot's video and just couldn't get it. You're really good at explaining these knots so it doesn't even feel like I'm learning complicated ones.
You have the best way how tondo this knot. All your videos on how are flippin awesome. Need to see a few new ones.
Hey Alex, as much as I appreciate Elliot's invention of a couple knots, you're still the best, man, by far... Could you please make a video about the 'Ellie' knot? It's Elliot's variation of the Eldredge, that instead of getting the remainder of the tie around the collar, it pulls it down, like a 'normal' knot. It'd be awesome if you did that

Ehhh maybe. It isn't really a new knot, but I might do it eventually.
Thank you for another great video.
I tied it with a three striped tie, and it looks pretty cool, it's got a red and white pinwheel on the inside, and an almost blue and white pinwheel on the outside.

I had a better one on before, but I just retied it. mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?ui=2&ik=361e995f74&view=att&th=143b2fbeab58183c&attid=0.1&disp=safe&realattid=1457811266043112079-1&zw
Absolutely love this knot. Thanks for uploading and keep up the great work!
im trying this for the christmas dinner on saturday, nice video man !
It takes a bit of playing with a stripped tie to get the pin wheel. I have to agree that it has to be a thinner tie. I just tried with a two different patterned ended tie (I don't know how to describe the ties like the Magnetie) and it looked funky due to how it's bulky in material.
Please try the finfrock knot. I saw someone do it and... They sink at teaching. I prefer how you do it. Keep up the good work.

Great video Alex! As always! ;) Hey have you looked into the Deivão knot? Do you think you could do a tutorial on it please? Thanks! :)
Awesome! These are nice and time-allowing videos to follow along with. Subscribed!
Will you make a video on the rectangular knot? I would like your help showing the it to more people and getting to see more people's opinions...
i wear a lot of ties, this helps sooo much, thanks. i just wish i could keep them clean!
2:20 Wow, wonderful
My name is james I'm using my moms account. I have a question what tie knots can I do, with a thick polyester tie? I tried to do the trinity and it was so fat, any help please, thanks.
I watched the Elliot Truelove videos. His videos are too dark. Can you show us how to do his Truelove Pinwheel version?

there is no instruction for that. You just need to tie this with a striped tie and pray.
Just what i need! - subscribed 👏👏
Where should the fat end be placed at the beginning? About belt length or at the belly button?

Another badass shirt Alex..... Is it another TheLees?
Someone mentioned the Deivão knot below. I say you tackle that one next. It looks so sexy.
Nice
just in time for next friday
Hello, Alex Krasny. I noticed you were showing the wrong steps to tying the Truelove knot. Well, not that they were wrong, but they were different from the steps Elliot Truelove would take. Always assuming the big end is on the right side... In both of Elliot's videos, his first step is to wrap around the back of the big end with the little end and come up over the top through the front, ending up on the back side. Here's a diagram based on his method: s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/8c/68/12/8c6812f11b2e9f0d9cf95b4285cbe0be.jpg In your video, your first step is to simply take the little end over the top from behind the big end. However, even with these different takes on the knot, both methods produce similar results. The only real difference is that Elliot's method has the little end come out through the right side, while your method has it come out from the left side. And since most knots tied with the little end have the little end end up on the right side (well, I'm only taking the Eldredge and Trinity knots as examples), I'm more inclined to believe that Elliot's method is the correct method. While I like your video more for it's better lighting and presentation (ramble free!), I'm sure you wouldn't want there to be a divide on how to tie this already difficult knot. I'm sure this was just an oversight. After all, you've made so many great tie knot tutorials that there's bound to be at least one mistake. Cheers!

Yeah you are right.
Talking about shots fired.
Everything was going well until I had to make that twist to show the seam facing upwards. Everything went to hell after that :(
I meant there aren't ones that accommodate a tie, most shirts for women don't have collars that allow you to wear a tie with.

Alex Krasny Thanks, I'll try that out.
Deivão rules. Didn't know it had a name, ended up doing that a few times, when trying to do the Herringbone and not watching the videos.
is that a typewriter in the background, or is someone have marbles for breakfast?
There's no problem in doing some better instructions for an existent video, but you don't have to humiliate Elliot and show off saying that you are the best of the best.

I don't feel like I did that at all, and I am really sorry if it came off that way. Elliot and I have spoken on multiple occasions and I give him full credit for inventing the knot. I mean him no disrespect at all.

I may have misunderstood. Nice video anyway.
I thought you were just lying when you said it was hard...right up until you told us to turn the tie seam up. Oh jeez.
You take the steps to fast
Dislike this knot a lot. Not sure why
