I just got a trench coat and the belt is so crazy long! Was trying to figure out why the end of the belt is hanging so far down my jacket after buckling. I guess it’s so you can play around with these different styles. I think I will try the first suggestion. Thanks.

Thanks for this, I didn’t know how to tie mine attractively. I really need to practice the “men’s tie knot”, despite being married for decades, I never learned.

Man speaking here on my London fog I was able to buckle my belt in the back, backwards and feed the excess through the loops enough to make a half belt look on the back that is flat even no hanging strings or knots to stick in your when you sit down in it.

Often wonder why the belts on these coats are so long lost my belt l still wear the coat have a good evening

Go to a seamstress or ask a friend or realitive who sews to make you a new one. :)
