That is quite different from how I was taught how to rig the jika/gika rig
I use a barrel swivel with a coastlock and i use a split ring.around the hook..same set up.. Been using it for couple of years... Works wonder's

Almost. I use a normal split ring where I connect: swivel, weight, wide gap hook. Done. Anyway, Master Ike teaches us lots of tips, it's normal that we start to learn ahahah
What size is the swivel?
Hello Mike I have a question about hard baits like a crank bait or a lipless Crank bait or a long casting luers or jark baits you are talking about split Ring my question is I was wondering is it better to remove the split Ring and tie the knot directly on to the luers or just tie the knot to the split Ring

One thing I've always been curious about regarding the Ringed Wide Gap Hook is whether the wire gauge is standard or heavy duty..

They Make them with standard gauge and there's a HD heavy duty gauge as well flipping and heavy cover.
