Primarily made using polyester webbing, these durable straps are ideal for both flatbed and enclosed trailer use. Polyester is extremely strong, with very little stretch, and can secure your load with ease. All of our ratchet straps have been extensively tested for safe use, have working load limit (WLL) labels, and also meet requirements from several key authorities like CVSA, DOT, WSTDA, and North American Cargo Securement.

Omg, that was so ridiculous simple. I, of course, over complicated the method. Thank you for this video!
Through towards and over away with no slack worked - plain and simple. Thanks.

Thank you so much! Just helped with a dethreaded strap I had to deal with!
Fist class demo, thanks.
Super helpful still, thanks a ton!!
Ty for help man
Not as clear as could be, I had to watch 5 times to try and see where you actually threaded through, then his hand covers where it cones back through.
Thank you very much
I love you Ed thanks x
Gday mate. Sending thanks from Perth, Western Australia - "down under". It turns out your clear, concise instructions work even down here!! :-) Thanks again, mate.

Thank YOU!
Thank you Sir 🙂
Maybe this works for a guy but when you don't know what a mandrel is and he has his hand in front of it while he's threading it back over the top of something I don't know what it is, this is not helpful to me at all.
Wonderful
Thanks! This just helped me out of a bind.
I watched another KZread video before this and once the strap was threaded through the mandrel, They looped it UNDER the mandrel, as opposed to your going over the top. I haven’t tested either and wanted to see if you think both ways would work. Thank you
And now we take our grom to thee park!
Ty
Why do you have to double it through the mandrle? It works fine if you feed it through one and take the slack out.
What's a mandrel? But ok, once I got that identified, the rest was embarrassingly easy! Thanks!
Why do folks insist on putting music OVER these tutorials?
Ok, US Cargo Control Alot of folks online say after the strap is brought through the center mandrel, Then coming back over the top of the mandrel (as you did in this video) is either unnecessary or incorrect. What is your advice ?
Thank you!! Got it. One question though, how much should I pull through before I start tightening? I have a very long strap and I don’t know if I should pull until the end is even with the hook, or you only need a little?

Take up the whole slack is my guess. Only use the ratchet itself to make the strap tight. this way you're also making sure there are no twists

All the slack! Very important question as if you don’t pull it all the way through then it will jam and not tighten!

@@JBullock54 thank you!
What should I do if this does not work?
I don't do it this way. I pull the strap through the slot in the mandrel and keep going straight. I don't go back around the mandrel. My way makes easier to pull the slack out. When I start cranking the ratchet it seems like I very quickly have plenty of friction on the strap. When I go to release the ratchet it is much easier to get it to a loose position. Why is your way better?
Did your shocks that you ordered not come with the plastic straps on them to hold them so you could install them on your vehicle? This is EXACTLY the tool that works to compress shocks that come shipped to you uncompressed! This video along with me getting the idea from Jesus of using this tool saved me about $400!
Helpful but you can see the inside of the ratchet and viewers can’t.
Amazing, 50 percent of the time they show this technique. The other 50 percent of the times it’s the other way. 🤯 who’s right and who’s wrong.
Oh yes, let's make a tutorial where the man's hand covers the thing we are trying to show. Real fucking helpful

I had the same problem. I had to watch it a number of times.
It is impossible to see what you are doing with your hands.
I was frustrated as to whether you (1) go through the mandrel slot and then come back over the top or (2) go under and then come back through the mandrel slot. So I tried it both ways. It turns out there's no difference at all. As in, if you make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with peanut butter on the bottom slice of bread and jelly on top, then you make another with peanut butter on top and jelly on bottom, but then flip it over, are the two sandwiches different? Nope, they're the same in every way. You made them in a slightly different way, but the result is 100% identical. So don't get frustrated like I did. Under-then-through or through-and-over are THE VERY SAME THING. The functioning is the same because it IS the same. So it doesn't matter that his left hand is blocking your view. I hope this helps!
I've watched this 40 times and still can't get it, when it tighten it, it just gets tight yeah, but also wraps itself up and I can't get it done
you are covering with your hand the device so viewers can't see what you do
An advice to the presenter. You could cover up more of the ratchet and the location where you have to thread through if you TURN YOUR BACK TO THE CAMERA! Then we could see even less. /End of Sarcasm/
I'm so embarrassed to have needed to watch this video. It's so simple now I know how
120 people couldn’t find the mandrel.
the function of the ratchet strap should be explained...
Simple but extremely complicated...
Way to quick of a demo....lol
It would help if actually SHOWED what you were doing
Useless . Camera angle shows your hands most of the time , not the strap and ratchet .
This was soooo not helpful. Couldn't see anything when he was "threading the mandrel."
First of all what the hell is a mandrel....show the anatomy of a ratchet strap first in that metal buckle area and show exactly where the strap is going through. Jesus!

Damn dude you must know everything!
To use my favorite word, this is asinine. There's zero reason for hooks on this. Why isn't it a strap - you know. what I bought? Why is it not intuitive to use at all, fail. This has slowed my move down by 30 min so far. Next time I'm using rope, because these should be that simple.
Useless. Need actual closeups. What's a mandrel? Where in the many apparent openings is the cord actually going, and where is it doubling back through? Your words don't help, and the angle of the camera shows nothing. Everyone else seems to think it was uber helpful and the bees knees, so I guess I'm just stupid. Still downvoted, though, sorry.
Turn off the stupid music for your tutorials
Most useless video of the day. The camera was not directly on the moving parts. He assumes people know his glossary terms. You could create some charts with some arrows because simple is not dumb enough when you are talking to the public and you do not understand your audience. This is extremely not helpful if you’ve had a traumatic brain injury. Speak clearly and enunciate your words and point out each part. Let this be a lesson for other people that create videos. 🤔🙄🤦🏻♀️ This was a waste of time.
absolutely worthless
