Testing your motorcycle's battery is one of the first things you should tackle when diagnosing mechanical issues with your bike. As an integral part of your bike's starting system, the battery can often be an unsuspecting culprit behind many problems and should always be one of the first things to be tested. Although checking a battery's voltage, there is some nuance to the task depending on whether you have a lithium-ion or lead-acid battery.
In Tech Talk #62, Revival's Lead Mechanic Alec walks us through the three stages of testing your battery's voltage as a benchmark for your battery's health and a starting point for diagnosing issues your bike may be having.
*Please note: The resting voltage for a lithium-ion battery should be between 12.8V - 13.4V, not what Alec stated in the video near timestamp 2:45.

This video came out at the perfect time. I went to fire up my bike yesterday and she wouldn't fire. The first tiem I hit the button, she fired right up and she sputtered along for a minute but wouldn't start to stabilize. So the battery is shot. But now I'm wondering if the charging system is bad. :/
Does this hold true if battery was dead and then you put it on a charger and it now cranks up?
Is the lithium battery worth the extra cost over it's life?
How about doing a video talking about how you wired those two 4 cell in series as a means to save space, yet still have enough cranking amps to run a 500ccish bike

Ha, pretty sure that's the stock muffler blown wide open.

Exactly, it's a huge balance to create bikes and cars and create content not to mention that if your filming you're not editing.
