Enjoyed the technical based series.
Great tip! 👍🏻
what is resistor connect on your capacitor for . Please explain .
Sir may I ask, if I have a motor starting capacitor for "Dough Mixer" of 80µF 10+20% 270V, and I have a reading of 85µF, shall I say that the capacitor is in excellent condition?

That is less than a 10% difference so, if your capacitors can handle a 10-20% difference you should be good!
how do we get the capacitor out if burnt out
Thanks - If a capacitor passes the rated capacitance, is that confirmation it is good? I have a 35uf +/- 5% reporting 34.6 - However, the motor is still just humming when I turn it on. Could it still be a duff capacitor please?

A 35µF +/- 5% is equal to a range of 33.25 - 36.75µF, therefore 34.6 is within tolerance - and considered good.
What about voltage testing on cap
Hi, How do you release the stored energy in a capacitor or test that it is not holding charge?
Directions unclear: how to check its uncharged. Idea: lick it ( see if it tingles like a 9V) Update: eyebrows have mostly grown back now, and I think I may have done something incorrectly on that last “test”🤣
These videos are frustrating because there's no standard on the numbering format for these capacitors. His clearly lists "MFD" on the label, but I've seen plenty that don't... just the weird upside-down looking 'h' symbol next to a capital "F". Plus the arrangement of markings on his multimeter look nothing like what the multimeters at Harbor Freight have.
You're not getting an accurate reading with those resistors on there.
