How to terminate hornets using cold water in under 5 minutes!

House call at a friends house... hornets already stung both homeowners. The hornets had to be relocated quickly before tragedy struck. Skip to 3:45 for nest removal. The soggy hornets were humanely transported to the freezer for a quick painless end.

    Ive had this experience with the dreaded ‘White Face Hornets’, you have to kill every one or they will come back and rebuild. Ive had it happen to me, I hit them with raid in the late afternoon and I apparently left a couple of survivors, they rebuilt the empire in one day. You have to hit them at night when all of the hornets are in the nest. After I saw the empire had returned, I hit them again around 9 at night, they all flew out of the hive punch drunk dropping like flies, nothing but bodies in the morning. I hope you got them all because just one will rebuild the entire empire. I agree with Bitwise Magick, take no survivors. LOL

    Get some soap- dish washing liquid, or laundry detergent . Put in pump up sprayer or gaden hose sprayer. The soap breaks the surface tension of the water, allowing it to suffocate the insects, as they breathe through their skins, or exoskeleton.

  • @wileecohagen
    @wileecohagen4 жыл бұрын

    For safety I would mix soap with the water so that they can’t fly after being sprayed. You can use a fertilizer spray atomizer to mix the soap and water. Then put a power nozzle at the end to blast the nest to pieces like he just did.

We would then take the bag and drop it into one of my neighbors trash cans and close the lid while running away at the same time. The neighbor that got the bags was very deserving of it.

    Years ago, after paying an exterminator $100 to spend 5 minutes injecting the nest with terminal powder, I bought a bee-suit of my own and have been knocking down wasp, hornet and bee nests on my own, usually with a $3 can of "hornet killer" from the local drug store. You do it at night, after they're all in the hive in a slumber. You nail the nest and inject that spray right into the nest and the next day you're good to tear it down. At worst, you have to do it a 2nd time. Saves a lot of time and money, not to mention water damage, fire damage (for those who burn them), etc...

    This may work for lesser types of hornets, but I doubt this will work with the giant asian hornet, which is about 6 inches in length and an inch thick.

    yard limit I live in the city and I don’t see any large nests. However, in subsequent videos, I discovered the other openings were false holes. Hornets have predators and the hornets can hide on the outside under the openings. One video I watched claimed hornets had created a second hole when the primary one was blocked. I have no way to research and verify this except to see if someone posts a video or article about it.
