Please, was it related to gear changing issue? Does it require Valve body work? My friend told me that is 2006 Chrysler 300 automatic gear only selected 1, 2 and 3, other gears aren't working. I also heard that gear oil was leaking slightly however that oil leakage have been fixed. Unfortunately, the gear problem still continues. Please, what could be responsible for such a problem and how should it be fixed?

Thank you man, I appreciate this video. I'm chasing tranny issues my self. I replaced everything else so far. Input / output sensors, line pressure transducer, transmission control module. I ordered the valve body today, we'// see. The only thing left other than the clutch packs is the oil pump. And the tranny has to come out the truck for that. If that happens, I inspect and replace the clutch packs. Yes I took it to dodge first to get it fixed rt, that was a f'n joke.

​@@davidessien5465 the primary reason it's not shifting, so they say, is the transmission control module. Many people have achieved great success just replacing that. It did not solve my problem, it just got worse. The control module has to be reprogrammed by a shop with a scanner/ programmer. Do not go to dodge, after their eyes stop spinning in opposite directions, they hand you a bill.

Hey thanks for the video , i have a 2000 ford excursion with 7.3 diesel and the 4r100 , i can drive my truck no prob everyday, but when i tow my boat i try to pull up the ramp and its a huge delay when i put it in drive , it either wont go into drive lt is delayed and all i get is rpm , i have a dieselsite refurb valve body just sitting from my old truck and im wondering if its worth a try . the valve body should control the line pressure when u shift to drive right , i always feel a little bump right away on any of my trans that were rebuilt. Thanks for any imput!

My 2020 Ford Expedition had this issue. Thank god it was covered under warranty.

Man your a goat , spent weeks trying to figure out why my challenger kept telling me to put in park every time i reverse . Or it would sometimes just not move at all in reverse

Mine did just this Sunday 😭 Only finally went into reverse when I turned my car off and back on. Ended up towing it to my dealership to get shit fixed because ain't no way I was making that after all this trans fluid spilled overnight onto my garage floor.

@@2threeHtx faulty valve body and shift solenoid issue due to first issue. Guess the tech didn't catch it because he kept thinking the computer was confused. Thing is, I got a new transmission put in and it had only a little over 12k on it. Then all of a sudden the valve body decided to log out ☠️ I baby this thing, too, in hopes of avoiding these problems lol

Yup! My car's transmission valve body has failed I can assure after watching this video. But I'm also happy cuz perhaps I don't have to fix/rebuild the whole transmission. Just get this fixed or changed

I'm experiencing all those symptoms. I bought a refurbished one, and will take the van to the mechanic next week. The mechanic quoted me $325 just to install it. I paid $157 for the part.

I have an issue with my 2014 Nissan Sentra it slips bad at low rpms but at high rpms runs fine and doesn’t make a noise as you said in the video and also is throwing code for the valve body

I really wish I found this sooner. My car had been doing EXACTLY this and I'd been explaining the symptoms to my service advisor for months. MONTHS. My car wasn't throwing any codes or anything. So they didn't know. My car would shift and upon trying to maintain speed, it would not move. This happened after about 40min of driving consistent highway speeds. Unfortunately, found out what the cause was only after trans fluid started leaking upon my last test drive shortly after they claimed they fixed the issue. At some point coming home, it refused to be put into reverse. Had to push my car into the driveway. Ford's really been hitting some of my nerves lately. Thing is, they put in a brand new transmission for me because the last one was bad as well. And for the valve body to go out with only a little over 12k miles on it ???? And Ford (factory not the dealership) is expecting me to pay for it when they themselves built me a brand new transmission to be put into my car. So idk. Trying to get rid of it after this and just get something else 😭

What are your thoughts on remanufactured valve bodys?.. i have a 2017 Lancer SEL with a P2719 fault (control sol D)... i have 140k miles and am really kicking myself now that ive looked into it. I bought the car new andd have notice the shuddering intermittently since it wass around 50k miles.. but i just thought it had a fuel pump issue (usually when i was parked on an incline).. that eventually turned into the car jerking forward when leaving stop signs then turned into delayed engagements when shifting into D or R... then days later turned into completely failing to engage. -ive replaced both filters -replaced fluid with Mitsubishi F4 fluid itll seem fine for a few minutes and then go into limp mode again. I believe I have the JF016E valve body.. the same one that Nissan had a huge recall for. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have a 66RFE transmission in my Ram 2500, getting slipping on the 5th gear, hard shifts and erating shifting. Replaced solenoid pack and the two speed sensors and pressure sensor. What could I look for on the valve body to try rule out that as the issue. Couldn't see any sign of damage on the body when replacing the solenoid pack so it might be a blockage in the channels perhaps?

Question for top 5 auto repairs, is the pressure control solenoid C part of the valve body ? Can dirty transmission fluid or clogged transmission filter cause the symptoms you mentioned on your video?

So my 2016 Ram 1500 has a delay I. Shifting, and then on the high I got a message on my dashboard about “Service Transmission, do not put it in park until reached desired location” on my way to take it to the dealership the “trailer brake” light came on, plus the check shifter message. Would these symptoms fall under the Valve body as well?

I'll let you know when I figure it out,but, this 2006 Toy U140e fresh rebuild air checks solid, but cold line pressure at idle and stall is below spec and gets worse after warm up. 2-3 flare. Reman VB TransGo Upgrades. Suspect SL1 and 2 solenoids even though voltages look good on road test. Wish me luck !

Hello, I have an Elantra 2015 1.8L, in my case when the transmision is cold, I put it in drive and it needs a couple of seconds to engage 1st gear and with a little ckick. No issues while driving it, shifts would go smoth from 1st to 6th, up & down with no slipping not issues at all. Then I turn the engine off, after five minutes transmission will not engage 1st gear niether 2nd using manual mode, so I need to let the tramnsmisson to cold down for at least 3 hours, then I would be able to run the car again. Already clean the valves, oil is new, no improvements. Do you think is a mechanical issue, or some valve is failing when hot? thanks in advance for looking at it

Will the valve body cause reverse gear to delay a bit before to engage ?

On a Ford, there are components that can be replaced without removal of the valve body. There are solenoids and even a TFT (transmission fluid temperature-sensor) that is attached with clips or bolts to the valve body above the filter. If you have the time the valve body can be refurbished with new components (gasket, check balls). The little synthetic balls can actually wear out over time and mileage. FordTechMakuloco has great videos on this.

The ball valves can work but more often than not this is just a bandaid because half the wear is in the channel where a piston or ball valve actually sits in the top or bottom piece of the main valve body. Only way to work around this is to buy oversized pistons or balls and hone the channel according to their size to get the tolerances back in spec.

Will the O/D warning sign flicker as well?

Recently replaced my valve body on my Infiniti Q 50 and I noticed it makes a rattling noise. I can hear the little beads inside rattle does that mean it needs more transmission fluid because I followed the steps per the manufacture any suggestions? Also it’s a re manufacture and it also gave me the same code as the original valve body p0720

I keep getting a code for automatic transmission fluid temp sensor and it’s not shifting up gears. I was told it’s the valve body. Does that sound right? It drives just creeps in first gear like 5mph and slipped into neutral once, we parked it. Thank you!

Nice video thanks for sharing. I have question. My toyota noah 2009 ZRR70 chassis automatic transmission Japan car. About 3 months ago it started doing the following. When the car is on break on a traffic and when releasing the break and want to move by pressing the gas pedal the first gear is like it slips and grabs the clutch. its a half second fraction. then is moves to second gear but i feel like it goes too soon to the second and the car trills. And now the check engine light is on. The scan show P2763 code error. The car mechanic opened and removed the transmission oil. Check the solenoid valve and all are good working. What can be the problem. Automatic shifting from 3 4 5 are smooth

Will the transmission shutter if bad?

I have a A750F in a 4runner with very weak reverse, revs high in reverse. Works a little in reverse in 4 lo., but going forward works fine. Fluid was old and burnt, but now changed and clean. Would this be a valve body or clutches? thanks

Can also be a tcm issue. With no instruction from the pcm most automatic transmissions won’t shift out of first

My 07 with 152k miles has done it twice in 5 months. Automatic, and when going from first to second,sometimes it won't go into second,it just revs,I pull over put it in park, and then put in drive and it's good to go.

what im confused about is, we just changed transmissions and we arent getting any fault codes or anything and first and reverse gear feel amazing, but no 2nd or 3rd, it doesnt even attempt to shift into 2nd just stays in first, so im thinking its either the transmission pressure solenoid that we used out of our old trans of the valve body were gonna try the solenoids first

The clutches inside the the transmission do the exact same.

I have a 2012 jeep patriot and it makes like a whining sound and I think my transmission fluid is low so I took it to auto zone and they said it was good but that if I wanted I could add a bit more so I didn’t at the time but I finally added more today and it seemed to help a bit until my engine light went on then I went to auto zone and it read code 770 and something about solenoid B getting stuck..so I talk to a mechanic so he should be a me to take a look soon

Bro my truck is in the shop now apparently due to this reason. May I get yoyr opinion? Brand new 2022 gmc sierra denali. And this happened. Truck is currently in the shop getting fixed. Good thing I still have warranty. I've been thinking. I'm going to trade it in once they fix it. Think about trading in for the 2023 tundra. What are yoyr thoughts?

I just replaced the valve body and it’s not wanting to hold its code to set it up to program it want accelerate or reverse I’m at lose I Beg for any suggestions now it was a refurbished TCM valve body it came complete with sylenoids

Always put new valve body you don't know where that transmission has been or gone through its a chance

Im driving like 1 to 2 kilometers with my chevy cruz and the transmission is like disconnected to the engine and it is just revving without reaction from both engine and transmission, can you suggest that it is the valve body failure already? Its safer and better practice while you in there to put new valve body too, instead of just replacing trans control board

Dealership is telling me i need a new valve body. $4700. But I never had any of the issues mentioned here. Car just wouldnt shift into R one day. No prior noises or issues

i have a 2007 Nissan Armada Runs, Shifts, Drives perfect... the issue i'm having is the Tranmission heats up.. top of the safe Zone.. no shifting issues, No Codes, No Slipping, No Noises... only other issue is a slight delay going from Park to Drive which isn't a big deal but the temp is! ... Valve Body???

You can try a drain n fill. Also drop the pan and clean out the magnets. Otherwise a separate transmission cooler is likely needed. You could also have scoring on the valves valve seals - so if you’re getting an rpm spike then a hard shift when it’s hot… The nissan transmissions are a shit show across the board.

Mercedes benz gave me a bill for 3,000 + for this issue

When my Toyota Camry is on for long time the reverse won’t work

Is it my valve body that has failed, or the whole transmission is failed? I can put it into drive and drive straight with no issue. However, when I begin a turn, even at a low speed, I hear a clunking. It sounds like it has a broken tooth. Unsure if it's a broken gear or not. The sound is in the transmission itself, and I can feel each clunk shake me in the drivers seat. No check engine codes.

Valve body and TCM is 1200$ + HST in Canada and you have transfer seal at 28$ rest is labour

All this symptom ...better off getting a new or rebuild transmission.
