If a hacker breaches it, they can hack your connected devices, steal your files, or even spy on your online activities.
So you should always be on guard and take immediate action if you notice something suspicious taking place in your network.
Slow speed can occur during peak times or some other bandwidth disruptions. However, if you experience it all the time and together with the further mentioned symptoms, it’s a serious red flag.
Your speed can be slow because an intruder can use your network for distributing malware, remote connections to other devices, piggybacking, or other malicious activities.
Attackers can try to connect their devices to your network. You can easily check it by logging in to your router’s IP address in your web browser and looking up the list of connected devices.
Usually, a device that tries to remotely access your network won’t have an address that matches the first three numbers of your router’s private address.
Also, be aware that unrecognized software on your devices is also a sign of an intrusion.
Cybercriminals usually change credentials after penetrating your network to stop you from tweaking your settings and protecting yourself.
So if you can’t log in to your router anymore, you can almost be sure that something’s wrong. Once inside your router, hackers can adjust its settings however they want and cause you much trouble.
But first of all, don’t panic if you notice any of these signs. Instead, take the following steps.
First, reset your router. If you have strong suspicions of the hackings, we recommend doing a factory reset. It can reset malicious changes and remove certain kinds of malware.
You should also change your router and Wi-Fi passwords immediately. Just make sure to use the strong one.
Also, immediately uninstall all the strange software you find on your devices.
If you notice unrecognized devices, kick them out of your network immediately. Also, disable remote administration on your router to cut off the access for hackers.
Finally, run a malware scan to check if there’s some malicious stuff left on your devices.

I’ve just recently had my router randomly say “device being hacked” please help
My neighbor hacked my wifi to spy and eavesdrop on me inside my home. It was undetectable and police needed evidence. I was labeled as a mental health patient and called crazy. I knew it was happening but could never exactly figure out until now. Thank you. I won't own a computer ever again. Violated in my home is the worst thing ever. Why is this so easy?

Your not alone, I've already learned my lesson about trying to get any help dialing 3 numbers. I'll tell you why, not all of them even know, and the ones that do, have these cyber gurus doing their personal dirty work, in exchange to be able to do their own dirty work. From what I can gather, it's much much deeper than that. University's have research programs that teach and provide these tools as well. And not all students maintain a ethical practice. They are immune from prosecution for the most part. As long as their not doing any intrusions on corporations or making too much noise to cause the people above them to have to answer for it. Blind eyes are turned, and they are mining the data , lil here a lil there , some are more skilled than others , but don't be so quick to throw money to fix any problems because that is exactly what they want you to do. Declassified document National security archives basically coinecide with this as well. But paying the isp plus extra security from completely different corporations doesn't stop anything. Those documents basically say , it's on us, 2016-2020 cyber security documents , I remember the 2nd part being called omega. Check it out yourself . Hope it at least sheds light because the things these faceless cowards have done to me is out right filthy, your isp sees everything and they will swear they don't , I've even been told they had no clue what a guest wifi was or how to set it up and that was a lie just to keep me from logging into the router.

This is happening to me right now. Its been going on for about a year now and they dont even try to hide anymore. Ill just randomly start getting removed from my own accounts applications until my router as well as my phone are fully disabled with someones new credentials taking ownership everywhere. Ive tried everything.
I've had issues for a long time now makes me wonder going buy a new router

I am having those issues with not being able to get online or stay there if I do manage ..the connection buffering and slow speed is so frustrating..I do use my building WIFI..have a very strong connection..because I'm right next door to their router..but I do have NordVPN..and love it. so I am not too worried about hacking any password..but with that said...whats causing this daily internet connection issues?

Hackers can divert your traffic to download a hacked version of NORD VPN. It doesnt always protect you.
