I’m not sure if I’m paranoid but my cursor sometimes moves on its own, and everything is slow to load. I have 32gb ram and over a tb left of storage. it just seems weird to have space left and be so slow and glitchy. I’ve tried fixing startup apps, deleting stuff, updating drivers, antivirus, nothing works.

one thing I tell people to do, is turn off their computers before anything else, if you can't control your computer and can't shut it down, just hold the power button and keep holding it until the PC force itself to shutdown, it will take few seconds, then do everything else like unplugging you internet and everything else, this will allow you to do things at your pace.

some dudes "hacking" me on discord atm saying hes installed a bitcoin miner and other things to slow my computer down, so what i've done is factory reset my pc and will use MRT to delete any malicious files. right move or do i get professional help?

i dont know if i should Format my PC, i did get hacked a while ago and since then I've been very careful and have reset all my passwords and did everything nessacerry, nothing suspicious has been happening and i looked for weird things installed and found nothing, i currently use WebRoot antivirus and so far it hasn't detected any virus and or malware, though i still have been feeling uneasy about my computer since then but the paranoia kinda settled down a bit, i am thinking about Resetting my PC on new years for a "fresh start to the year" so if its recommended i do then ill do it sooner, if it seems I'm fine, ill still consider resetting.

No, however if you download or install anything, it could be a malware. So it is better to scan your device to make sure there is no infection.

At some point a specific exe would slow down my pc and make it not able to function correctly. I started by uninstalling non needed exes. Well, found some stuff I never installed and couldn't be uninstalled. I enter into safe mode or similar to this from bios and I removed manually everything from their installed folders, now my pc has no such problems. They were either from hacker or they would just misfunction with other programs cuz they had the name of famous vpns and antivirus I never installed.

I visited a random website to download a game and then suddenly it opened a big pop up saying you have been detected by cybercrime and asking to pay fine within 12 hours. I just shuted down my pc and restarted it and then did all the scans. My pc is safe but i learned a lesson from it to not visit any website unknowingly

That could be because your laptop has a HDD. HDDs are much slower than the newer SSD drives. This makes everything load slower. Also it might have just slowed down due to lots of use and build up of stuff. A factory reset could definitely help speed it up

Just replace the fan. Screw it off and put the new one in. If the fan is on your CPU just take off the fan, Then wipe of the thermal paste, Put new thermal paste (About pea size) and put the new fan in.

@@Atom-Creates yep you are hacked. Just reinstall windows from www.microsoft.com/fi-fi/software-download/windows10ISO or reset your pc to factory settings. (Yes the microsoft website is legit you just have to look up tutorials on how to do it.)

oh ok no signs because it showed microsoft and it said someone tried to access my pc and I could press the x to turn it off then accept the access or just say ok so I pressed the x

A other good sign is a unsigned cert which covers all fields of action and is often not signed or has no meta data like a CN. only offical signed certs of microsoft should cover all fields of action. Check the autorun entries, if a driver is unverified in the cert store of windows but its description is claiming to be from microsoft, its best to disable that entry. if you see large register key values in regedit, best to scan your system.

@@wubboxku8380 there is an exception where certutil.exe had a self signed cert without a CN with a old unvalid shasums. All official PID's and therefor startups entries should be signed by microsoft or other trusted vendors. If you would run autoruns64.exe you would find microsoft drivers that contain no metadata nor a cert nor a entry in microsoft their cert cache. It would be sloppy to use sys files that are only partly signed

@@user-no4hg5lv4t sounds like a side jacker or a keylogger. Best bet is to check the drivers, certs and auto run entries. If you know how to create a live usb and have a spare computer nearby you can flash kaspersky rescure environment to the usb with balena etcher and certutil -hashfile. I wish you Succes.

Nothing you mentioned at the end of the video works (in my case). Just Reset button from Win 10! And 9 months of pain ended! Reset button from Windows settings does some “magic” that none (wipe out, reinstall, install new Win on nee hd etc) of suggestions worked! Just Reset.

@@lbjambul2770 I did it with my computer. It erases all files and everything installed from hardware to software. It restores the entire computer to just the basic installation of what ever windows version you use. If you get any virus at all, just do that. Don't go thru the hassle of trying to get anti virus this and that.

You'd be surprised what they can do with access. They might not do anything for years. But one day you'll do something important. You might log into your email or social media. They'll then have an email and password. They might access your email and create an email filter to redirect copies of every email you get. Then, they sit back and watch what comes in. Eventually they get your full name and address and your mobile number. After that, they can either commit identity fraud or have enough to start hacking other accounts. These guys play the long game. Honestly, don't take it lightly. Preform regular virus scans and don't download anything from an unknown source.. And definitely don't click on a link you don't know. Once it happens, it's a nightmare trying to figure out what they will do next and what you need to do to stay one step ahead.

If you have anti virus and it hasn't detected it in the first place, it either means they're probably using a malicious browser instalation which means your browser is infected and possibly with key stroke or phising redirects. Or worst case scenario, your anti virus isn't good enough for their virus. Best thing you can do is change your passwords from another device for all accounts you've logged into from your PC. That includes email and social media. Also check your email settings to see if they added any filter or forwarding rules. Common in some cases where they'll just wait to see what type of emails you get because they receive a copy too even if you change your password so check filter rules! And then when you are ready, boot your PC on safe mode and run a scan. And delete or refresh your browser settings. And in worst cases, wipe the PC to factory.
