What about generic cables not made by apple like Anker how do I know what is original from fake ?

I got a cable, it doesn't have text written on it, is it orginal? I've also verified the USB c port, mine matches up with the original cable .

My cable has that whitish led on the tip but doesn’t click like how the original does .. , does it make it fake ??

I'm glad this youtuber and others create videos to help people, but most things said in this video are wrong. There is no way to tell from the sound if it's an original cable. Some fake cables have more of a click, some have less. The same applies to the thickness of the cable. A fake cable isn't necessarily flimsier and lighter. Some fakes are actually heavier and sturdier. Original Apple cables do have text and serial no printed on them, contrary to what he said in this video.

Little bit of misinformation here. The color of the pins on the lightning end can be either silver or gold (they’re not necessarily silver).
