How to tell if cooked rice is spoiled
Cooked rice, signs of spoilage are pretty clear. Funny (or off) smell is the first sign of cooked rice being spoiled. Slimy texture is another. Of course, if there are any discolorations or signs of mold on top of the rice, throw it away immediately.

Okay I give up now and throw that expired rice package away to buy a new one. It has none of the risk factors and even smells fully normal - but better be safe than sorry. ;D
