How to tell if a crystal is polished 💎✨

Ойын-сауық

We get many comments that the crystals we find are cut and polished so we wanted to clear up any confusion about raw vs. polished crystals. A raw, unpolished crystal will always have some type of surface texture and/or other various features on the surface. Polished crystals of any type will generally be smooth to the eye and to the touch like glass and lack surface features. Sometimes only part of the crystal is polished, so you have to look closely and check every face or side to be sure! We use Quartz as an example in this video but this can apply to most other crystals too. We hope this helps and please let us know if you have any questions or want to learn more. 🫶

My grandparents bought me that a few times, it was pretty fun to see the crystals that formed, and the different colors. though the crystals were typically small they formed after a few weeks. And like she said they looked dirty n had stallations or whatever n ext. Crystals that take numerous years to form or even hundreds could obviously be much larger. It seems one of the most common shapes a crystal to grow in is an obelisk. They also typically need a wet/moist environment. So it makes sense they would grow in cave structures, places with water underground around or near the surface anywhere between 15-20ft where water is absorbed into the ground. i.E her finding one in the ground like that isn't strange. It looks like they've dug a bit to find it to, it wasn't just on the floor or something.

I'm of the belief that knowledge can be gained, simply by reseach. Research that has been very conviently stored on the internet. Also conviently free. Our school systems in the US are basically glorified daycares, but that doesn't excuse ignorance nor lack of knowledge because the world is literally at our fingertips. I'd say its more of a parenting problem that kids/people are so quick to fire off on the smallest things that could be solved by having a conversation. Or an debate on a subject they don't agree with.

Yeah... but if you actually study geology you would know that the video is actually faked, it IS unpolished BUT that quartz didn't form there, it's literally impossible If it did form there it would be much more amorphous and also opaque or translucent not transparent, they are also much smaller when forming in clay I'm not even saying she planted it but at some point something had to move the gem from where it formed to where it was when she found it The best explanation I've seen is that it's from a "mine your own crystals" sorta situation where they are or work with a mine to provide fun activities for tourists to find a gemstone if they look hard enough, I've been to plenty of them and it's always funny seeing them import minerals from half way around the world just for variety lol really takes me out of it tho
