here is a trick for u bro take out the food bowls for 1 or 2 hr and then show them food or something they will eat or like to eat and u got a bird to corporate with u just give him millets Or the usual food for every progress they make

It shouldn't be too difficult. My budgie (~7 years old now) is very attached to me, but we haven't really learned him tricks. Compared to my previous one he's a slow learner. That one could say some words after only 2 weeks. My current budgie took months to start saying a simple word in a whistle-ly way and weeks more to say it more human-like. Though for endive or dandelion leaves (yes they can have them, and are actually pretty tasty. Like lettuce but with a kind of savoury taste to it) he'd do anything so to speak.

I teached this trick my little boy ^^ I got him when he was a few months old, it was pretty easy but I couldn't teach it to my girl because I got her from her former owner, where she could not get out of the cage and they only grabbed her, she didn't even know how to step on my finger! But after hand-feeding and training she jumps on my finger when I reach my hand out to her :>

i need this for my mango he just learned step up randomly like when i placed my hand in his cage without any food and he just hopped on for a long time and did it every day after

I also used to have a budgie named lemon do This but he forgot and also he died is daughter and friends and the whole flock were heart broken .But anyways thank you this information was very helpful cause now I can teach my other birds to do this thank you .

its advised not to give them a lot of millet as millet is mostly fat if you carry on doing this their lifespan could be halfed. This could also lead to health issues

Distance is depends on hunger :D. I can usually can do step up but when he was really hungry he flies across the room

I have one of my bird’s trust, but he is in the same cage with my other bird. He is not yet tamed, so I can’t tame him with the other bird and I can’t separate them because neither of them are tamed. Any advice on how to separate them from one another so I can tame them?

My budiges do step up to me but if I place it at a distance they just stretch out and come on but if it’s too far away they don’t come at all. Is there a way to train them to not do that?

You clearly are not informed. 1) When you hand feed a budgie you do it to tame him. 2) if you want a Budgie you can hand feed you have to breed your own couple because breeders don't usually sell babies you can hand feed. Anyway you can try to ask your breeder if he provides you some male babies, wishing he can tell you their gender. Good luck!! Be also careful and do A LOT of research before hand feeding a baby!!! A tiny mistake will cause severe behavioural problems or the death of your baby bird.

A budgie must not be older than 20 days to be hand fed. I reccomend to start when the chick is around 15 days old. I started to hand feed my budgie when he was 18 days old. He talks, dances and is learning to free fly.

In Bangladesh we can get budgies pretty young like 2 weeks old. We just have to let them know we want want. I have decided to get two 6 week old budgies for hand feeding. I haven’t gotten them yet, I will after I get back from America probably after a month or two. I will send you a picture of them when I get them though. I want to use Nutribird a21 as there hand feed formula and once they are grown up I will give them fruits and vegetables and also I will try to get the Versele Laga Premium Prestige Budgie food for them.
