To all those mommies watching this video and feeling guilty that you are not doing enough for your kid believe me when I say this. You are doing the best you can. I watched this video when my first son was 2 years old coz he didn’t speak a word Not even mama … and I felt so guilty thinking I wasn’t doing enough but now with my second son, he is 11 months old and is as responsive as the girl in this video. And I didn’t do anything different with my second son. It’s just how different both my kids are. My message to all moms.. every kid learns at theirs own pace no matter what you do.

This was so helpful. THANK YOU! . I did find myself feeling a bit guilty watching this because i wish i could stay home all day and spend time with my son to teach him myself vs sending him to daycare. Working a 9-5 is necessary, but it doesn’t stop the guilt. Moms who are able to stay home with their babies are truly fortunate and blessed.

I can’t even afford daycare and feel guilty I’m an LPN and struggle with this everyday I will try this more and now I’m on a mission for my son to be successful. I probably need to downgrade my living cost but I pay for comfort plus jersey and New York is expensive living.

Yikes.. I hope to change your perspective as there is no fortunate situation to being able to stay at home. I live off of EBT & any savings I had is going down the drain quick in order to be able to cater to my little one. That being said, daycare is even more expensive than if I create my own at home learning system and ensuring my little one isn't getting abused etc. Hopefully all that working you do does help you create a better retirement. I truly believe no mother needs to be working as it's already so exhausting. I wouldn't say force your man to step up but whether it be child support or a proactive father he needs to do his part. Unless he's passed.. then I'm sorry. This child came out as an agreement and if you know you can give out the love you need it will be reciprocated tenfold. There are days where I want to give up and go back to work, but my little one deserves this, deserves the best.
Listen to what she said towards the middle-end of the video. Babies are all different and grow at different paces. While her baby is 14 months and struggles to walk, ours was fully walking and standing without falling much by 10 months; on the other hand, our baby understands well and listens well, but is refusing to speak much besides mama(when she needs me). She’s about to be 12 months next month. Be patient, be consistent and encourage them as much as possible; do not freak out

Same here my son just tuned 1 only says mama Dada and mimics the dogs and cats very well. Walks and running 🤣
It has been seven months now being a stay at home dad (temporarily until my wife completes her military contract) and I can agree that tv time for my now 12 month old daughter, she turned 1 on the 30th of January, is definitely a life saver because I am usually juggling so much during the day and putting on her favorite show The Backyardigans helps me so much but I make sure that she has more play time throughout her day and so far she’s growing so well. I just want to make sure I am doing my part on her growth so here I am getting as many tips that I can. I love these videos, thank you for all the helpful tips! 🙏🏼
She is so adorable! This was a helpful reminder of little things that can be done. My 2nd child is 14 months old and I feel like I am slacking trying to balance things. It’s important to just remember every child is different in their growth, having another child I definitely see that and understand now.
Great video! You pointed out the goods and the bads. Most people just talk like everything is perfect and nothing goes wrong. Your very down to earth
the first 1 minute n 15 seconds of your baby talking are my favorite.love to the smart kiddo
Just wanted to say that you are a great mom and your are doing an amazing job with Riley. Thanks for sharing with us
Watching this to help me improve in teaching my baby how to talk. Really helpful.
Can I just say THANK YOUUUUUUUU for your honesty. I have been feeling GUILTY/ASHAMED/EMBARRASED by the fact that my girl watches T.V, even on days she watches for only 15 minutes. Most youtubers condemn T.V and all my info on mothering comes from T.V. So, I absolutely am grateful and adore you for being so frank You are the best!

Just CHI-CHI oh girl!!! Anytime mama! It is what it is! She loves tv and it’s such a lifesaver honestly. It keeps her entertained and happy and as long as it’s not the ONlY thing she does 24/7, I’m all about it! Why make our lives harder than they already are?? Riley’s a tv baby, but I think she’s doing just fine 🙌🏼

Our baby watches too. I watch with her, we love the Iron Giant. I plan on playing some Baby Einstein for her today. But I also keep the TV off for a big part of the day, especially during meals. The days are long, but the years are go quick, enjoy this time.

Just CHI-CHI my baby watches tv all day and plays and sometimes I feel like a bad mom for putting on the same things . Idk I sometimes need time to myself it can be hard being a stay at home mom lonely and unfulfilled sometimes but I think what’s best is just a happy mom. Don’t worry mama you’re doing great!

I thought TV wasn't good but with time with my 10 months boy I realized its important as long as I integrate it with other things. For the songs I sing for him when he years them he looks around and tries singing along because he heard it before. So encouraged with this video. Thanks so much I used to think I was crazy but the fruits are visible. Thanks We are now learning to walk this sides and its so awesome.
You've quickly become one of my favorite KZreadrs, and now I'm going back and watching older videos. I just want to say thank you so much for showing the times that she does not cooperate!! My son just turned one year old and since he's my first, really the only examples of how children should be at this age are the ones I see on KZread. A lot of moms edit out the times their baby does not cooperate (I'm assuming?) and this led me to believe my son must be a bad listener or not like me because he only cares to talk or make animal noises like 1 out of every 10 times I ask! I know... it's silly what we moms can think sometimes haha. Thank you for helping me know it's completely normal!
This is my first time watching and I definitely subscribed!! I love how detailed you are that's exactly what I need. So thank you for this!!
Oh my goodness you’re amazing. I love the realness of how it takes time
Parenting can be so hard. Thank you for the suggestions. My 10.5 month old son doesn't sign (even though I have practiced for months), is very selective in when he wants to say just a couple words, hates reading books for more than 3 minutes, isn't into tech, yet loves people, attention, and I can tell he wants to be verbal by all his baby chatter. I do almost all the things you do but it is a good reminder to be CONSISTENT through all the difficulties.
Yes! For educational tv my little one just turned 11 months and she already knows soooo much! Thanks for the extra tips x
I feel blessed to have stumbled across your channel!! I've felt inadequate as a first time parent being a SAHM. I had no idea what to do and when. Seeing others in a similar situation sharing their light and calmness helps sooo much. Thank you for sharing!

Such a smart baby girl!!!!! You are an amazing mom!

Riley is so adorable. Your voice is sooooo reassuring. Thank you very much for this video.
She is adorable and this was sooooo helpful! You are an amazing mama!
I don't usually like long videos but this was a good one. Thanks for posting. I picked up some great tips! And your little girl is adorable.
Thanks so much for your video! Actually I did similar things with you by showing my son flash cards but he didn’t seem to grasp what I’d been telling him so I gave up. but watching your videos make me going to start again. My son is 14 months old but he hasn’t talked yet, he only babbled. I’m going to learn from you by talking non stop to him now 😊😊😊
So positive vibes coming out from you. Thanks for your efforts in making the video
This is the first video I watched form you! I’ve been following you since then, that’s a little over a year! I love seeing your channel growing, you’re soooo close to 100k, can’t wait for that to happen. Congrats!!
I used to watch Baby Einstein too and I was the genius kid at school. Good job! I’m taking notes for when I have kids.
I loveee you so much for mentioning the educational tv! It is SO true!
I love this age! My daughter is three now but this age is so sweet! Can’t wait for my infant to be one
When I first saw one of your vids where riley knew what sound the cow makes I was so amazed & I immediately sat on the floor with my daughter, got a cow pic, made the noise over and over again for 2 days and now she knows the cow says moooo! Its so amazing and I love that I can teach her things and they pick it up soo fast we just have to take the time and do it with them! Its great.😍❤️😂

This is so helping me to teach my Gia in her 8 months old. Thankss for the video Kayla
Doing such a great job Kayla ! Go Rayley :) you guys made my day
This video contains such useful tips. Thanks for the product recommendations but I think your habits are probably the best resource - talking and maintaining conversation with the little one and reinforcing positive behavior.
Aww how cute is this 😍 you’re doing a great job mama😘 Recently uploaded a video with my toddler saying all his cute words.. because I just had to record those cute memories. It’s amazing how much they start grasping after turning a year. Such sweet memories. So adorable 😍😍
She’s soooooo cute!! That first minute was precious omg
Omgoodness how adorable is your girl 😍 Such a cute cute age!! She’s so smart! Interesting “baby Einstein” it is! I completely believe in educational tv as well! “Mama” “dada” omg...her voice!! So cute!! Yes I remember narrating to my little guy when he was a baby! Yes to the foam bath toys...that was definitely a helpful one. You’re such a good mama gorgeous 💕 Completely agree on the positive reinforcement 👏🏼 loved this!!
My mum and aunts said I was speaking in full sentences at 14 months and I could walk at 11 months. My sister also spoke in full sentences at 14 months and my two brothers were speaking in sentences at 18 months. We grew up in a bilingual household but by age three we spoke three languages because of school!
She is so advanced! You’re doing a GREAT job Momma! ❤️
thank you so much for sharing all of your tips on how to educate our little ones. My daughter is the opposite to your gorgeous girl. Aleena is 16 months and took her first steps at 11 months but officially started walking non stop at 13 months. However she doesn't say many words at all despite me trying to teach her but no way near as often as you spend time teaching your daughter. This has been a motivational boost to start getting my act together and spending more time to teach Aleena more words etc so thank you :) new subscriber xo
Im watching this for my 1 year old brother that never talks AT ALL this helped me, he just took my phone and i asked him what are you doing? He said "Blackmailing someone" That made me and my other brother laughed so hard! Thank you!
This is the first time I watched your video and I looovee it!
You’re my favorite vlogger so far! You’re a wonderful mother! Riley is so cute. I have a 1 year old and she doesn’t stop talking 😂 She doesn’t walk yet but soon she will. You inspire me
My 1 year old only says “mum”, “woof” and “poo”…. I’ve obviously nailed motherhood 🤣

I think you are both adorable, Riley is the same age as my grandson so it’s fun to see what someone else is doing with their baby. Enjoyed watching you both.
An educational show that my daughter has LOVED sense 4 months old she’s now one has been sparkability on KZread she’ll clap and scream every time it comes on so excited and she’s very engaged in it and I can tell she’s picking up on a lot SUPER recommend
This is helpful! My son is 12 months, he’s a big talker but not very physical yet! Thanks for sharing some ideas for language play :)
I’m blessed to be a stay at home momma. So I can really feel each and take time for my 6 mon old boy. It’s gonna be hard and challenging when I start teaching more. So far he’s active and repeats sounds back and forth😅
omg and the elephant!! so impressed. WTG baby & momma!

Aww you're such a good mom 🥺🥺 I appreciate the baby einstein reccomendation. I let my son watch TV while I'm in the kitchen washing dishes or cleaning. If he doesn't, he will stand by the gate and cry. He seems to be super interested in the baby einstein show
AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGG THIS HELPED ME SOOO MUCH! YOU ROCKKKKKK!!!!!
Go Riley !!! She reminds me of my 18 month old . Riley is really smart but also a result of your parenting . You do really good talking to her and really good teaching her . A lot of parents make the mistake of not talking or baby talking their Child . You go momma 💚
We have a walker! He has been walking since 11 months. Doesn’t really say words just makes sounds. We have our 12 month review soon. I’m like you and talk to myself lots. I know he will get there but he is more of a mover. Loves walking and climbing… x

I feel the exact same! My 19month old will occasionally babble and sign one or two words, but she’s so headstrong and easily distracted. I feel like most of it has to do with the fact that she doesn’t have to communicate a lot for me to understand what she wants 😭

Me too! 😩 But don’t get too discouraged tho, everyone is different! Everyone learns differently
My daughter started saying mama at 5 months. At 8 months she's able to say dada, puppy, papa, ate, baba her name which is Abbi, uh-oh and Papipi (peppa pig). She loves Baby Einstein, too! I like it when she mimicks some familiar words in the video. She's 9 months now and she can't walk yet, she can only stand while holding onto something but I know we're getting there. I believe every baby has their own pace.
I’m from Indonesia. Useful for I teaching to my kids👍 I so happy see your kids, she’s so cute.
Omg your 1 year old is so smart!!!!!!
Our baby started walking at 8 months and three weeks. It's encouraging to know fast walker slow talker and vice versa. Your baby is adorable, looks like your doing a great job.
her talking in the crib - sooo cute! i love her monkey and horse sounds!!
I learned English by watching tv! Lol moved here when I was 9 and my sister was 2! Neither of us went to classes to learn and my parents didn’t speak English. PBS kids for the win 😜
She is sooooo cute! Oh my gosh!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Dang I'm just at the beginning of the first video on your channel and im amazed how well she can speak makes me think idk what im doing with my baby

As long as you speak to your baby, read books and interact your baby will learn! Do not worry at all. Your baby is hard wired to learn language and interact. Even children with disabilities and learning delays will find a way to communicate xx
Love your suggestions..my baby watches a lot of tv but I limit it to nursery rhymes, shapes colours etc
She’s so smart!!! And first thing in the morning. “Do a little dance” 💖
Absolutely loved this vid. 💕
Omg she is so Adorable 😍 thanks for your video i got alot of tips.
Helpful! Sometimes we just look for the basics of what to do. Most other vdos focus on tips and tricks.
She's sooo adorable 💕
This video was so helpful. Thank you so much 😍
Omg you are seriously my MOM TWIN!!!!! Me and you do everything the sameee!!! With the books and the magnets with the baking dish haha same!!! And I have always talked to my daughter non stop i tell her everything I’m doing. We also do a lot of singing so she knows sooo many songs! I also let her watch educational shows I love little baby bum en español she’s literally learned so much from them! We have so much play time together but a few minutes a day while I’m cooking for her or something I think is totally fine. I also do a lot of teaching with her in the bath just like you making everything fun and exciting! My daughter just turned two she knows how to count to 10 in English / Spanish she learned a while ago the whole entire alphabet, she knows so many animals/ their sounds and now I’m working on colors and shapes with her. Everyone jokes on me like wow she’s so advanced they’re going to kick her out of kindergarten when she gets there she’s going to be the teacher lol but when you really take that one on one time as their mama to teach them they learn sooooo much! I just found your channel and I’m so glad I did! Great job mama!!!

Nour Ramadan Mahmoud yea you’re doing a great job! Continue to explain to him and show him everything you’re doing.. when you’re changing his pamper for example you announce “we’re going to change your pamper and then show him the pamper so he can make the connection. Then “Okay all done! we’re going to put your pants on now and show him the pants, and socks, etc. When it’s time to eat, take a bath, or play everything I do I just explain to her what I’m doing by showing her what it is, and saying it out loud. Doing this everyday over and over they get a hang of it and soon will start repeating after you :)
Your videos are so helpful . I have a 17 month old and he is my first and everything is a first for both of us lol so I'm just like learning as I go and ur videos are so helpful.
Thank you this is helpful my baby is 1 and his says mama and dada and were trying to get him to say it more often he only tends to say it around me and my husband only he gets shy with others but he babbles and understands when I say certain things but yet has to walk so thank you this is so helpful 🙌
My daughter is 17 months and she doesn’t talk when I ask her...sometimes but not most of the time but I keep working with her anyway because as soon as I get worried that she doesn’t remember how to say something she starts screaming words when I least expect it like at bed time she loves to scream mama or dada cause she knows I’m coming in the room with smiles and hugs😂😂 but so far she only knows a few like clap, mama, dada, thankyou, hey and bye..... but she does understand even when she can’t say certain things
What a cute mommy-daughter relationship ♥️
Thanks for the honesty. Great video
TV is okay I think because my one is 9months old so I let him watch tv and activities but listening to you am definitely changing my routine with him thank you.
@6:35 I have the same exact book! The key for babies to talk is to talk to them. Watching a screen delays them.
This was so helpful, thank you! ❤️
I'm having trouble with my 1 year old. He copies our actions but not repeat our words.. found many interesting learning toys for my boy.. very helpful . Thank you.
My 14 month son says papa to everything no matte what I teach him...😅 I can't wait for him to talk like her, so sweet
Wow. This video of yours was from 2 years ago but I can definitely relate to this one. My baby is 12 mos. Old and also struggles to walk but mumbles and talks a lot. I like how honest you are about screentime because I, too has a hard time removing it but definitely plays Super simple songs and other Nursery rhymes and oh By the way, Done subscribing 👍
Just came across this. My daughter is the exact same age and this reminds me of her. She is just starting to do animal sounds and know body parts etc, which I've been teaching. It's good to know I'm doing some of the "right" things that you're doing and has paid off but gives me more inspiration too. Sometimes reading the same books and saying the same words seems boring but it's good to know it all helps and I'm not the only one at home just doing this kind of thing all day! I find all the books we get are animal books so trying to get some other things in there! Your little one must be much older now. I'll have to check the channel...
Thank you this is really helpful the different toys are important.
Thanks so much for the advice.Awesome mom.Thats very helpful.
