    Thank you, these are great ideas! I also like Patty Shukla's alphabet song. It has the letter, letter sound, a word that starts in that letter, and sign language.

    Love your videos, Susan! Could you share some information about your educational background some time? I'm interested in becoming a literacy specialist, but I don't really know what direction to take my education. Literacy credential? Master's degree? National Board certification? Special ed credential?

    Great ideas and games. Quick question… how do you make the spinner? Thanks

  • @la4013

    @la4013

    You can use a brass fastener along with a clip. Or you can go to a local teacher’s store and buy the spinners (I do that). They come in packages of 8 . I print on card stock and laminate them, then I add the spinner and reuse the activity.

    Lisa shared some great ideas!! I usually use a paperclip and a pencil on a sheet like the one I showed above. Students hold the pencil, and flick the paperclip so it spins around the circle! You can also grab these transparent spinners to go on top of any paper: www.amazon.com/Learning-Advantage-Transparent-Spinners-Spinner/dp/B00M1HACVC

    Ouch, in your shopping for letters game you use the incorrect form of the word you’re ( you are) you use your ( possessive ). Is there a version with that corrected. I would love to have it.
