How to Teach a Conflict Free “Out” Command | Grassroots K9
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
Larry is a 3 yr old malinois that has never been taught an out command. Lucky for us we got to do his first session on video. This is how we teach a conflict free out!

This was awesome!! Thanks a million. I'd been wondering how this was done without conflict.

Glad you found it useful!!
Good point about the harder ball. Thanks!
Oh heck. I taught a version of this to my Rotten pups when they came home. We called it “out” and “take”. I would hand them the item saying “take”, then ask for the item by saying “out” and producing a treat. By the time they were maybe 5-6 months old, if they had a toy in their mouth I could say “out” from across the room and they would spit it out!! And we worked on getting them to “take” without mouthing/bouncing the toy in their mouth. They would actually bring me toys and ask to play the game. They even played it with the neighbors!
Thanks for this video. That dog is awesome.
Beautiful work!

Good stuff
Where did you get the hard ball on a rope?
when do you click on the e-colar ? on the command out and then depress when he spits out the ball ? I have an 8 months stubborn one lol

We get the out to be predictable before ever using an e collar stim. This particular brand has levels from 0-100 and Larry was only stimmed 1 or 2 times in the video on level 3.
Why are you picking on poor Corey, ha ha . . .
