I do lot of stippling with that triple-3rl but never thought it's good for fur! 😮 I've done one furry animal tattoo and I used 1007 curved mag. Went okay.

Can you do one with regular hair as well... Just did a few and was not to pleased in my results

Thats a great recommendation my friend! I have multiple texture videos in the works so I will release them as they get completed. Stay with me as I get them done for you. When I first started hair I always hated the results as well but I am grateful I practice on fake skin so much because I am able to make the important mistakes to learn while not damaging people along the way.

Thanks Daniel, very informative as usual, trying realism on animal tattoos myself, with the larger whiskers, do you use negative space to show the whiskers without lining them? Also could you do a vid on longer fur ie lions mane. Thanks for all the instruction vids.

Thank you first and foremost for your time and support! You are appreciated. I will be making an in depth video on longer hair techniques I follow. For whiskers I will always leave negative space for the whiskers as opposed to just trying to blast white over an area. Blasting white over will not hold up the test of time so taking the time upfront to leave open space for the whiskers in my opinion is the way to go. Stay with me and I will bring you all more full in depth videos on multiple textures I use.

Please do you have to hang your needle out more and also run the machine on higher voltage for tye fur ?

I like to hang my needle out more to be able to see what I am doing but this doesn’t have to be done. This is 110% artist preference, I’m sure some like to hang their needles out and some don’t. It’s not needed. I also run at around 5.5-6 volts for fur textures.

Emphasize* not exhaust and also thank you for knowledge sharing 🥰

I wouldn’t say we have to run at high voltages. I would say it depends on the setup we are using , the type of machine, etc. I use pen style tattoo machines and I feel like 5.5-6 volts is a great starting point. I hope this helps you.

How long should I wait before tattooing on a tattoo again, I’m doing a realism piece and it’s probably going to take 3 sessions.

I would say it’s different for everyone. I would look at the tattoo after a few weeks and if I saw signs of peeling or anything I would wait about another week or so. When it comes to this I would highly recommend to just use our eyes and experience as that’s going to give us that info we need.

In a tattoo, if the fur of an animal isn't done properly, it will ruin the tattoo. Thank you for showing and explaining! 🙏 poppy #DanielYuck
