Welcome to a new style of studio episode! I've decided to go more vloggy style with my studio videos for a while, since it's my preferred style of making videos and just because I've been making THE STUDIO episodes the same way for 180 episodes! Time for a change :))
But yes, this is the long-awaited update to my old taping video from 2016 where I show you how to tape mallets my way - it works out to roughly $1.06 USD a pair so it's super cost effective!

I'm shooting this video on the Sony A7C, which I managed to get secondhand (because they're unavailable worldwide due to chip shortages) for an amazing price. I wanted a wide lens with heaps of bokeh (otherwise what's the point of FF) so I got a Sony 20mm f1.8G on sale at a local store. Literally a beast of a lens (almost GM level) in a G body and the setup is SOOO light. I'm shooting 1080p 59.97p and profile is set to S-LOG3 which I've done a simple grade on in Premiere.
