My voice got naturally louder when I joined a choir. Also when I wasn't trying to '' hide'' my words in a group setting. When I talked aloud I decided that mumbling should be a thing of the past. And that I said words with the intention to be heard. I hope that explanation was understandable.

Thanks guys! Yall made me realize I am not the only one with this problem, when I was about to enter middle school I was so excited because I thought I had the confidence to make my voice improve and get louder, but you know I put too much hopes for that and ended up making myself disappointed, I had 7 years experience of not having any friends because of my quiet voice and I am also introverted, have anxiety, so when I was in grade 1, like 3 months later, I don't know why, but noone of them approaches me so I guessed that was because of my quiet voice and shyness, I realized I had to experience the same thing for another 5 years, it was really unforgettable moment of my life, when I look back into it...I am just embarassed for literally no reason😔.

+Gwen Lourdes Don't worry, you will be fine. Even though you might be nervous accept it and try to realize that it's totally okay. Everyone gets nervous at one thing or another and it's "OKAY!" Just don't let it be something that controls your everyday life. First realize it, then accept it, and try to do your best everyday to overcome it. Your confidence might not shoot up a tremendous amount from now till next week, but you can sure work on making it next year than this year, and then work on being better the year after that, just do it and keep working. Do something everyday to push yourself out of your comfort zone no matter how small, but do something everyday. Make a conversation last an extra 30 seconds, talk to a random person, ask the cashier how their day is. You'll have ups and downs, but keep working and you'll do fine. Don't worry about being nervous for this upcoming event. It definitely doesn't define your life no matter how much you think it might. All the best :) cheers!

But I talk quiet with my family to, I'm not nervous or anything in my own home so idk why I talk so quiet. And it's so annoying when someone tells me to just speak up and to stop being so shy but I get it whenever it comes up when I'm talking to basically anyone of the topic comes up. I dont know why I cant just talk louder or like a normal person I dont even order for myself when I'm with my parents bc they know I wont speak up even if I try (im turning 14 soon so idk) but its embarrassing and I hate it

I wonder if subconsciously because I'm not the deep voiced airline captain I want to be whether it's making me strain to compete, especially with other men. I don't know what it is but it affects my every day life right now. I seem to be more worried about how to speak than what I'm actually saying.

Zlabster stop doing it. It's bad for your health, not just your voice

Place pillows on your sides so you won't turn. The best position to sleep its in one of your sides.

Seriously.. it's so frustrating . In clg I have to speak so beyond my natural volume which is very light just to make sure my friends can hear me.. but talking with so much strain all day makes my voice hoarse. Then I have to forcefully skip my singing practices after returning home. It's so sad and annoying.

Start breathing exercises and re training how u take in air. All ur power comes from ur diaphragm when speaking or singing. I had injury to my diaphragm so i had to do many exercises to use that area without pain. Its taken me years but it gets better and stronger.

Let me compliment you first with your control of the English Language. No "Uhs" or "you-knows" or "na-meen?" And secondly, you should have included a nice sketch or diagram representing your knowledge of breathing and speaking louder.

@Afshin Corleone Ohayo ^^ I just read all of your messages. I have been through that but with my parents instead. Like at school i'm pretty fluent, heardable and all, but with my parents i was shy and they can't hear me properly. So the tips that i can give you are the following. -Read books and watch movies and series, and give particular focus on words and actors playing. You can also watch speeches video on KZread. That does help a lot with learning more words and ways of seeing, also as humans we tend to imitate things we see, so with all that and time you'll be able to act and talk like these known character of the big screen, it will become more natural with all the situation. This will also increase your cultural knowledge, and put you in the situation where your knowledge will be appreciate by others, so is your opinion. Internet is such a beautiful and enormous source of knowledge, use it has it deserve to be used. Knowing things is having a certain power ;) -You also havd to build confidence in you, things that you want to say matter and have a weight. You have to get out of the state of mind that your opinion and your voice doesnt matter. It is quite hard to reach or increase your level of confidence, but in my opinion it is something that you have to think yourself. Step back, relax, and visualise yourself in your environment, and see how your actions and your person matter. But do it wisely and don't put yourself above everyone neither. Just the right level. That's it for now, these are my main tips. I'm waiting for your feedbacks
