Since its founding in 1920, the Harvard Graduate School of Education has been training leaders to transform education in the United States and around the globe. Today, our faculty, students, and alumni are studying and solving the most critical challenges facing education: student assessment, the achievement gap, urban education, and teacher shortages, to name just a few. Our work is shaping how people teach, learn, and lead in schools and colleges as well as in after-school programs, high-tech companies, and international organizations. The HGSE community is pushing the frontiers of education, and the effects of our entrepreneurship are improving the world.

I was finding this particularly quite challenging. My student was working on dystopian fiction and he was able to draw connections between the conventions of a dystopian story and the events unfolding in real time. He had a lot of questions and wanted answers to his questions. I listened actively and then suggested him to start working on the outline of his dystopian story which we will review in our next class. I am so happy to hear Mr Weissbourd sharing the same experiences. As teachers, we really do not know how to handle these situations as we are seeing these events for the first time in our lives, so this video really helped. Please keep sharing!
