How to tackle the PEMBROKESHIRE COAST PATH and succeed!

The Pembrokeshire Coast Path National Trail is a 186 miles with a total ascent similar to climbing Mount Everest, this trail I completed in ten days.
( Please help the channel, buy me a coffee here } ko-fi.com/amblingtrails )
In this video I aim to share the lessons learnt from completing the PCP. Answering such questions as the best direction of travel? How easy to get to start and finish? Consideration of navigation, resupply, fresh water and camping. In particular, given this is a costal path, we consider where the path will be impacted by the tide?

Thanks for this. The one thing that always seems missing after a videoed walk is a chat about all the pros and cons afterwards. Certainly makes coastal paths seem like a good option.

@@AmblingTrails rather sad about the lady she had started doing the path with her husband, a fit man who died of cancer , forgot to say she had just finished the whole of the Wales coast past

Great series off videos. Your suggestions to cut this trail down have definitely given me something to think about. Sometimes it’s not always about walking every mile but making your own journey to enjoy the best of it.

I plan to hike the PCP next week. Do you have recommendations on how many liters of water I should take with me? Great video by the way. Especially for me as someone who hikes such a long route for the first time, the information was really helpful.

Hi Paul, glad you found the video helpful, hopefully you've also watched my series of videos on the PCP, as there are lots of other useful information in those videos as well. I also thought you might find this video helpful on hydration kzread.info/dash/bejne/eYl_2LBmkpupopM.html The reason I wanted to share the video on hydration, is that the more sources you can find the less you have to carry! Given the time of year you are going, I would possible aim for 1.5 to 2 litres, this also depends on how far you hike each day as well, as the problem with water is that it is heavy! Obviously, take every opportunity to refill and don't forget to top up personally even if you're not feeling thirsty :) Hope you have a great adventure, it's a great trail and largely undiscovered by the masses. Cheers, Nigel
