SOLO hiking (186 miles) The Pembrokeshire Coast Path (PART 1)
The night before starting the Pembrokeshire Coast Path I drove down from derby and camped at (green sheep campsite) they are 1.5 miles from the start of the trail and let me leave my car there for £10 for the whole time, I got public transport back to the car at the end! super handy
Day 1 took me 19.5 miles from Amroth to Freshwater East

New to your youtube site! It was the Welsh Coast path that brought me here. We have walked all of it (not in one go) at varies stages of our lives. Always holiday in South Wales, cant beat it. Looking forward to your journey! Tenby is FAB 🥰

Oh wow tenby looks amazing! Thank you for taking us along with you, can't wait for the next part! Love your confidence, motivation and enthusiasm. I am inspired 😊
Great views and all the details of kit & info on the route is fab... making notes for short hikes. many thanks Sam
Love it 🎉
Hi, loving this. I love in pembrokeshire and I'm doing the path in sections with my partner. We're not in any rush 😊. The section from stack rocks to fresh west is occasionally open to the public, via a guided tour by the national parks authority. Obvs you need to time it right. Nice videos. Da Iawn
This is great, thanks for sharing! Looking forward to the other parts :D
Great video Sam. Lots of info, pointing out campsites etc on the way. looking forward to the next part :)
I've just got back from walking sections of the Coast Path, (not the entire walk). It's beautiful.
Loving it Sam - your enthusiasm is GREAT! I can see so much of me in you. My kit was a lot different, as I didn't camp. Also, I wore proper boots (but looking at yours, I wish I'd had them!). Looking forward today two

Thanks matey! I tell you what, making a few changes and getting my kit so much lighter made the world of difference compared to some of the hikes I’ve done in the past! Did you manage to hostel / bnb it the whole way?
Nicely done Sam enjoying the watch , 👍
Gutted for you that the tunnels at wisemans bridge are still closed
Followed your progress on IG. Looks stunning, and not too far away from me. Great to start watching the full episodes. Inspiring stuff. Keep up the good work, Sam.
Hi Sam, thoroughly enjoying the short videos on facebook and now the KZread ones, we are doing section walks on the Pembrokeshire coast path this week and having a blast, hopefully one day do the whole path in one go!
Awesome, would love to do this route one day! Looking forward to the next vid. 👍
Absolutely loved this, thanks Sam...Such an informative vlog, looking forward to the next episode 😊 ...Planning on doing the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path next year and can't wait x
Great video. Know Pembrokeshire well from many holidays but only ever walked small chunks of the coast path. It's definitely one of the most beautiful parts of the UK.

Thanks so much!
Great stuff, Sam. I know the area very well as my mother‘s family were from Milford Haven. Indeed, I’m off with my new partner, I am 70 she is 75, for a week staying near Tenby and I intend showing her the many wonderful beaches, my favourite being Broad Haven, Bosherston. I hope to have a day on the northside and, who knows, we may even dare to swim in the Blue Lagoon.

Thanks a lot! Part 2 around 6pm this evening! Just on it now ☺️🥾
Love this Sam. Watching you do this journey on Instagram has inspired me to try. Did my first walk to try and get going the other day and managed 6 miles. Was buzzing with myself and then realised watching this video that youre doing just under 20 a day 🤦🏻😂. Suppose we all need to start somewhere. Inspirational stuff mate 👍🏻

@@Samrculley Thanks mate. It really is good being out there, good for the old noggin too. Also love that you reference all your kit which is really helpful to us newcomers. 👍🏻
The scenery looks fantastic. You showed your shoes, which look more like trainers, do they have the same grip and support as hiking boots. Or are they more like barefoot shoes?
One question about the shoes. I have duff feet and need a soft inside. Almost cushioned. Are they really comfy? I still haven't found that one type of shoe that works for my fallen arches and hammer toes. Bit of a crip this end.😂

Hi mate, I find them to be the comfiest I’ve had so far, nice wide toe box so plenty of room for my feet even when swollen! But it’s one of those things you never know until you’ve tried them on yourself! 😅
I’m laying on a bed kicking back after finishing the trail today, July 1. When did you start the trail?

@@Samrculley Yes it was an amazing experience. We started June 12 in Pembroke dock. Milford Haven to Dale was our second day in hurricane winds, torrential rain, late low tides and uncut grass. It really tested the perseverance. When we got to Cardigan we took bus back to beginning to met our daughter and do Amroth to Pembroke Dock.
Big man where are those shades from?!
