You taught me how to use garage band a couple years ago and now I am making the switch. You're the only person imo who explains things in a concise forward manner for these kinds of matters. The way you step by step guide the audience is the most helpful for my learning style. Thank you!

If anybody is on the fence, I switched from the iOS Phone app. Going from a basic phone DAW to Logic was like a war with multiple battles, some lost and some won. There were times where I would be confused beyond belief and take weeks off to recollect myself 😂 I do think if I could manage to get comfortable with logic through that adversity, the Mac garage band switch to Logic will be possible for anybody! 🎉

I learned how to use garage band from your vids, wrote a whole album on GB and some of the tracks i recorded actually made it into my band's new album (after some polishing from our producer and engineer lol! But hey i take that as a win)

Very well done! I’m considering a change only because there is so many tutorials and users of Logic. However; it would probably take away from my playing time until the learning curve equalized.

Planning on upgrading soon (not a cheap project when you also need a new computer). But in the meantime, is there a bass/kick side chain compression workaround or plugin in GarageBand other than manual automation?

Thanks Colin! Question: When I open a GarageBand project in Logic, the mixer doesn’t show “Stereo Out”. It shows Master and Master Track. Is Master Track my new Stereo Out?

This could not have come at a better time. I just switched and am feeling lost😅

Question: (perhaps another Logix user can speak to this). I am legally blind and depend pretty heavily on the text to speech properties that are built into most of, if not all of the plugins and the software in GB. In my accessibility set up I have "speak items under the pointer" selected, so that when I stop on a button, within a second, the Mac tells me the name of the button parameter. Does Logic have all of these tags and parameters also built up? Thx!

frankly logic has prob the neatest looking gui, maybe not the most inuitive workflow but it definitely feels a little less fatiguing to work in. not a fan of any kind of os-exclusive software and especially not a fan of anything apple makes besides that one macbook pro model in 2021, but logic is pretty easy on the eyes (which is never a bad thing). i started on garageband and was initially thinking of upgrading to ableton but it is just so expensive and you can run logic on an infinite free trial with no locked features so the choice was easy for me. still, i might learn ableton one day
