Can I run a 7440 in a. 7444 socket? My car has a 7444 socket and bulb but doesn't use the parking lights on the turn signals, I have factory led daytime running lights on the bottom of the bumper. Can a 7444 switchback with wire do the trick? I hope it can work. Also a fuse tap harness too?

You need 7443 wedge base socket or BAY15D /1157 socket to fit in dual filament bulb. And you need to find common wire and main 2 wires for 2 filaments. 21w filament is for turn signal. 5w filament is for parking lights. When you connect wires, remember you give only + line from turn signal wires. Parking lights, you should give both + and - wires. I did this to my car here in Sri Lanka coz I prefer how it looks in this old American style. Like in the movies I have seen.

Yes, you need to either change out the flasher relay ( if it is replaceable ) or install load resistor to prevent hyperflashing when changing out the turn signal bulb to led.

I like how this video can't even be replicated entirely because no one shows how to make such a wiring harness. The items linked in the description is less than half of the things you need to replicate this mod without tapping into the oem wiring

I have a 2012 Accord. Changed the rear turn signal to led switch back and only the amber comes on. It is a 7740 bulb. And way to make it work properly?

I have the same car , you don’t want Switchback in the rear because the white will stay on tha is no no for the cops 👮‍♂️ if you want the white color you have to do 7443 led 6000k white with hyper flash or separate 50w load resistor

If you run a resistor to the white of the switchback led bulb will it dim the white light? And would this dim the the amber signal light too?

Adding something like a 1500ohm 1/2watt resistors will lower the brightness. You have to add it per line. So you would need to add it for both the parking and the turn.

Is the new JDM led dual color? I'm trying to see how you got dual color from the new turn signal. White when powered on with other lights and amber when working as a turn signal.

Yew, you just need to purchase switchback led.

So since these are wired to the parking lights, they won't be on while driving correct? Is there a way to wire these so that they are on like DRL?

U can always draw a line from ACC or just look for 'voltage identifier drl switch' on Amazon or aliexpress.

Does the bulb automatically turn off the parking lights when u signal or did u have to modify that feature? I want to try this but I'm thinking the parking lights and the turn signals will be both be on making the turn signals hard to see.

Most switchback led bulb will turn off the parking light function and only have the turn signal on. This is done through the bulb not the vehicle. Some bulbs will have the parking light on constant and alternate between white and amber.

Hello sir I have some old clasic gm car product the thing is my blinker relay doing odd thing's for some reason bouth position light and blinker light go ON at same time and some time's in reverse other side get effected as well . Why does that hapen? I swaped 3 relays all of them doing different things but non solve problem. I did change back lights design with newer version . But wire harnest is still the same. So I wonder what hapened to that odd thing. I have 3 pin blinker relay by the way. So I dont know how to solve this problem . Aperantly I have as well those dual filament bulbs . Can resistors ore diodes help? And where do I put them ?

Most likely you have a grounding issue. A possible fix is to rewire a new ground wire.

@@DIYCarModz honestly I dont know I simply have fuel grade problems and mostly failure betwean wire harnest and alternator is back charging on me. I like me fuel economy but dont know why that acuress for some strange reason I experiance higher voltage to me baterry around 15.5v . So can I some how saftly add more voltage to centrain devices like ignition coil and simply bypass fuse box and regulators? I do have voltage regulator in me dashboard and I do have aperantly polarity sensitive 4 pin gm ignition module I have mostly problems starting me engin in winter time. I do have R terminal starter selenoid who I can by pass to ignition coil voltage. But that thing confuse me because I have singel coil HEI E core type. For some reason I did try to use wire and diode but still me coil wont fire me fuse pop's in fuse box. So can you tell me please how to protect baterry not get effected from high voltage and how culd I find ore buy some device that can rev wrout bypass that problem with low voltage . It is realy anoying pushing me car at winter time. I did try some hv ceramic capacitor's but my baterrry was dead It did change me alternator starting charge rpm from 1200 to 2500rpm . How can I prevent alternator to interfear with my ground /baterry? Is it posibel to use diferent cinde of baterrys in series ore pararel configuration so they dont blow up?
