    Great video Richard! I love your videos!! I just have a question about residence, I know at schools like McMaster, residence is guaranteed for first year, but after that, nearly all students move to nearby housing off-campus. At UofT, do most students who stay at one of the 7 college residences typically stay there all four years? Or is it common for people to move off campus nearby? I'm thinking about Innis college in particular, and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna wanna stay there all four years.

  • @RichardHan

    Great question, so students can choose to live on campus until they graduate but I heard the university gives priority to first years students every year. I know few of my friends who graduated this year and they lived on campus for all four years. Most students want to move out of the dorm after their first year but its totally up to the student. I suggest that you contact the university about this to double check but as far as I know its definitely possible for someone to live on campus until they graduate. I hope I was able to answer your questions and if you have any further questions please let me know. I wish the best of luck to you in the future!

  • @RichardHan

    @RichardHan

    Great question, so I think it all really depends on the people you meet. Some are more open for conversations and some don't bother talking to others. I was lucky enough to meet people who are open for conversations and I think you should be fine since everyone is eager to make friends in first year. Some of my friends are very introverted but they managed to make many friends because there is a great chance that you will meet people with similar interests, since uoft is a big school. For more information on friends I suggest that you watch my other video "Is it hard to make friends at University of Toronto?". • @RichardHan

    Great question, so some required/recommended Rotman courses are big and some are small. Management, finance, economics and math are very big lectures when accounting and marketing are smaller classes. There aren't many small discussions in big classes but smaller classes are little bit more interactive. In terms of dorms, all the dorms are pretty much in the same condition so it won't make a huge difference. However I highly recommend you to watch my other video "Everything you need to know about University of Toronto dorms" for more information. This is another great question, so my answer to this question is both yes and no. So there are mandatory events that you have to go during orientation week and after that all the events are discretionary. However since Rotman is a business school networking is very important. So even though all the events are discretionary many students decide to go for the networking opportunities. For your question regarding course workload, I think 5 courses per semester is an average workload for all uoft students (not just Rotman students).
