How to support a cantilever slab : A practical cantilever example

Ғылым және технология

Cantilever slab without beams is explained in this video.
How to decide cantilever slab reinforcement details is not explained in this video. However, the focus is on explaining a cantilever slab plan sent by a civil engineering student.
You can see the question here 👉 www.civilera.com/forum/civil-...
The cantilever projection is around 1.2m from the edge beam. The student has mentioned in his post in the structural forum that he has considered equilibrium torsion for the design of beams supporting the cantilever slab.
If you want to know what equilibrium torsion is, see this blog 👇www.civilera.com/post/torsion...
The cantilever slab design is not a big deal once you know the supporting mechanism. The focus in this video is on practical points that is more useful, and you don’t find these structural schemes related tips in any textbooks.
The video covers the listed points below
A cantilever plan shown and its supporting mechanism
How to support the corners where 2 cantilevers meet
How to detail the cantilever slab with anchorage for rebars
You can see the blog on anchorage here 👇 www.civilera.com/forum/civil-...

@@saluto1397 info is not adequate to provide any solution. You should only load it to its capacity. Supporting it with props is an option. but then it all depends on what the site condition is

Dear @@CIVILERABangalore , I want to build a brick piller under it so as to support it. Can you share info on how to join the top part of pillar with the beam , so that the beam actually sits on the brick pillar and the pillar takes the load .
