How to “Supercharge” Your Real Estate Portfolio with Investor Meetups

Episode #303
The easiest way to supercharge your real estate portfolio? Host your own real estate meetups to build your network! If that sounds intimidating, you’re not alone! Many rookies let their lack of experience or fear of no one showing up stop them from tapping into this gold mine of a networking strategy. Today’s guest found it to be the fastest and easiest way to find wholesalers, buyers, and lenders for his real estate deals!
Welcome back to the "Real Estate Rookie" podcast! In this episode, Ashley and Tony are joined by Spencer Carpenter-an investor who got into real estate with the goal of supporting his family members in retirement. After his first deal went south, however, Spencer lost most of his capital and could have easily given up on real estate. Instead, he doubled down and networked his way to a pair of house flips that he was able to sell at a sizable profit.
If you’ve ever wondered how investors grow their networks to find better deals, this is the episode you’ve been waiting for! Spencer provides his step-by-step formula for hosting real estate meetups at little to no cost, while Ashley and Tony offer their best tips for vetting contractors and property managers. They also discuss working with hard money lenders and what can go wrong if you DON'T maintain an open line of communication!

Another great interview, you three. So appreciative for the guest sharing all the metrics and highs and lows of their experience. Tony & Ashley, the way you ask deepening questions to peel back the layers and uncover all the steps and specifics makes these interviews worth their weight in gold!! So often, these types of interviews just gloss over the meat of the info or steps needed, and thus really aren’t very helpful or actionable. Also, it’s really helpful how you ask guests to explain or define terms, or clarify what that mean when it wouldn’t be clear to a newbie. Finally, the way you focus on all the numbers and metrics is SUPER interesting, fun, illuminating and helpful!! Keep up the great work.

Great podcast. Glad to finally have someone local to me on the podcast. (Harrisburg) I am going from 0 to 35 units in less than 5 months so attending meetups and getting to know other folks in the business is a great opportunity I had not considered but will look into. Thank you so much for everything you all do. If it weren’t for you guys I would not have made the leap into Real Estate Investing!!

I don't think it's that deep, people buy property because of cash flow, creating generation wealth and appreciation. Hopefully one day it can replace their active income. Just have great attitude and mindset will be anyone's biggest Y. This just my opinion!
