Фильм және анимация
JOAQUIN PHOENIX: Biography, Movies & Facts. Documentary (Part 1)
Created by Kolo Kino
THE PART 2 is here: • Way Beyond the Joker. ...
Joaquin Phoenix has earned the right to be considered one of the most important actors in Hollywood. He prefers deep, cerebral cinema to mainstream movies but still manages to be recognized by millions. Whether he’s playing the evil emperor of Rome in “Gladiator”, a mentally ill Joker, a vulnerable abbot in “Quills” or a hopeless romantic in “Her”, Phoenix always manages to evoke profound imagery.
This is PART ONE of the biography of Joaquin Phoenix. We’ll discuss the Phoenix family, how his talented brothers and sisters began their creative journeys, and Joaquin's path to worldwide recognition and Oscar nominations. If you’d like to find out everything there is to know about this iconic actor, then enjoy the video.

Thank you very much!!!
One detail you got wrong was that the Phoenix parents left before the cult got bad. They happily stayed while child SA was practised, taught and encouraged. River Phoenix spoke in an interview where he talked about 'having sex' with other children at 4, stating that as when he lost his virginity. He didn't even seem to realise that it was abnormal at the time of saying it, but he never said anything else. The Phoenix parents didn't care about the child SA (which by the way was rampant and practised by almost everyone in the cult, I've spent this week researching the cult.), Arlyn had a problem when David introduced the concept of flirty fishing. Which was sleeping with men in order to get them to join the cult. The Phoenix family left not to keep the kids safe, but to keep Arlyn safe. They made River and Rain busk so the family could eat. She went looking for that NBC job because she wanted her children to be the breadwinners. She didn't care about them at all. River raised+financially supported parents and his siblings then he died before he ever got a break. Joaquin has seen some stuff, I think that's why he's not hugely into interviews and stays quite private.
Easily one of the best to ever do it. His roles are one of a kind. His Joker performance was bone chilling.

The list is really really huge... but each work requires from several months to a year to be completed, so we are forced to choose. Jake Gyllenhaal was on the top, but every time when the moment of taking the decision comes, someone beats him. Maybe next year.
River Phoenix ❤. Love him in stand by me, the mosquito coast, running on empty, dogfight, my own private Idaho, sneakers and dark blood. Miss him. Glad hes mentioned.

What a creepy story.. cane you imagine the psychic wounds of growing up with such flaky parents? Then your mom basically decides she is going to force you into show business because her and her husband were deadbeats. Explains a lot really.

Your glass was half empty as you watched this. The majority of us watched with half full glasses. Their parents were law abiding and the budding creativity of the children wasn't affected. I bet many children would have given their right arm to have this upbringing. They didn't grow up rich. But they grew up respected by their parents and respecting others, including animals.
Please what is the name of the classical guitar piece being played at 44:00 I cannot remember and can’t get close googling

I was hoping you would identify the song that's played at the very beginning of this video please

What is the name of the song in the intro. Shazam couldnt find it !?

For his brother
35:55 The actors beat each other for two takes filmed by three cameras.
True story--his own birth given name was Joaquin Phoenix. But the poor boy--he got frustrated with people unable to pronounce "Joaquin". I learned how to do that when I was a kid because our school was right next to Joaquin Miller Park. It's pronounced WAA-KEEN, not JOAQ-WE-LIN. Even though that's how it's spelled. I argued that with my teacher when he took us there in person, actually. Anyway, our dear Joaquin... it was just another day where he was raking leaves with his dear old dad... and decided on the moniker... "Leaf". And the funny thing is he was out of the business for a while. Hollywood stopped calling him--until acclaimed visionary director Gus Van Sant did. That was 1995--and by then, he decided to go back to the given name of Joaquin. I was confused for a while. I wondered, "What happened to Leaf? Is he out of the business? Did he just die? Or like many child actors, was he just no longer cute?" And then LEONARD MALTIN'S MOVIE GUIDE told me--ooh, he's just using another handle. I'm glad he made his own success in the world. He's known now as a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood. One of tinseltown's most prominent talents. He earned it all, didn't he?
who does the studio presentation of the videos! The English is anything but accented!?!?
Мой самый любимый актёр. Он не играет а живёт в кадре. Забываешь что смотришь фильм.
