There's some texture. BTW - I have an updated video posted here on my channel, I find glossy faux leather works best

It’s clear vinyl specifically for sublimation. The packaging is shown in the video and linked in the description.

Temp was still 395

Your faux leather looks like it is still soft and pliable after sublimating, mine seems to stiffen up some and curl at the edges? Any idea what I am doing wrong? I use htvront sub vinyl and press for 15-20 seconds on like 380 then heat press sub design on 380 for 50 seconds

Hello. I’ve been trialing sub on faux leather with different processes. That is working but they always seem to press with some sort of a blur or daze. Any thoughts or suggestions?! Thanks so much!! ❤️🥰❤️

So to be clear . . . you press a clear vinyl onto the faux leather then you press the sublimation image onto that vinyl. You're not pressing directly onto the faux vinyl?

Yes, the clear vinyl is for sublimation. I did not sublimate directly on the faux leather.

You make it look so easy. My carrier is not easy to peel off and feels tacky or sticky. Is that right? And blisters underneath so when i sublimate on top it looks like cracks :(

I use an Autopress. but you can try medium pressure to start.

Yes. It will be more rigid and shiny, but it works nicely!

I was sublimating directly onto the faux leather omg and they burnt 😹 ty for sharing I'm going to try this method next 🫶🏾

Ok, stupid question...you say in your video to put the HVT on the smooth side of the leather. So does that mean it goes on the back and then the sublimation paper goes on the "bumpy" side or do the HTV and sublimation go on the "bumpy" side?

@@jennyhouston4976 I used a smooth faux leather so when I said smooth I meant the front side. :) You apply the sublimation htv first then the sublimation print. Both on the front side. Nothing goes on the back side.

Oh no! Test your temps on scraps. It may vary depending on the brand of faux leather and heat press.
