Looks fabulous on you! Shorter bobs, french bobs, and micro bobs are all the rage on social media right now. I’ve definitely had devastating hair experiences. I still get major anxiety when I get my hair cut. I found that castor oil with rosemary oil or cedarwood oil mixed with a little coconut oil applied to roots a few times a week for 30 minutes seemed to accelerate hair growth. About an inch a month according to my hair color line. You rock shorter hair!!!

Girl if it’s any consolation I think your short hair looks super super cute!! I suffer from hair loss from COVID so I’ve been chopping it off every six weeks in hopes hair growth will catch up faster. I have natural waves and I tend to airdry and just curl random pieces ( not too many) to give it some volume and texture. I have fine hair. I do like the natural wave as it’s kind of beachy and messy. Maybe airdry yours ? I guess yours is very curly .. I don’t know. I stumbled on this. Very cute.

Your style is what I’m aspiring t, It’s perfect. I’ve had really short pixie cuts so your style looks a medium length to me. I just spent months growing my hair and have just had a terrible page boy type cut, nothing like I asked for (which was a French bob)I had to have it corrected, unfortunately I’ll need to grow it down 3-4 inches again.

Hi Mallory! OMG I feel you so much on recently getting the worst short hair cut EVER! I didn't' have anyone to help make it better, but after a month, it's finally where I don't want to cry when I see it. So I feel your pain!!! And how I found you! I needed this video so bad! I also wanted to mention the dreaded 'migraines'! UGH I too feel you on this! I used to get severe ones. So I wanted to share how I got rid of mine. Mine were food induced, And I mean healthy foods like almonds, oranges, caffeine and such. Crazy right!? My doctor had me start a food general. And then when a migraine starts, immediately look at what you ate in the past hour. If yours are food induced, it won't take long before you realize what's affecting you. It made a world of difference for me. I honestly haven't had a migraine in years. After realizing that even healthy foods, could be bad for some people, I started researching and eventually took several nutrition courses. So let me know if you'd like more info. oh, my dear I totally understand that frustrating feeling of having your hairstylist give you an unwanted cut! In my case I was looking for a bob cut, and I got a shorter cut than I was looking for and it was poorly defined, and also for some reason the hair in the back was cut like a layer (the lower part shorter, the next a little longer and so on... you can imagine? ... a total chaos. Definitely this style you shared with us has helped me a bit in making my haircut look less weird, and with more texture. Thanks!! For now I'm waiting for it to grow out.

You look beautiful in a bob. It’s so cute❤️ A suggestion? I have red curly hair and so I don’t look like Lil Orphan Annie, I use a round boar bristle brush and a hair dryer. It straightens and under-curls and volumnizes everything beautifully with little to no product❤️

Your hair looks so much better this week, the colour is nicer and it’s a better cut. I like spraying a little sea salt spray into my hair when drying it or using a little styling mousse or cream in it to get the hold on the style.

The Bunble and Bumble one was nice, NAK & Davroe have nice ones but I don’t know if they sell to the US market. Living Proof, Paul Mitchell and Morroccan Oil have nice hair styling products and I’ve heard good things about the Eleven range.

Thank you for sharing this video. I’m going through TE at the moment (from covid earlier this year) and losing A LOT of hair!! That’s already stressful and traumatising and after researching and reading up on good practises for hair are, I thought I’ll go shoulder length to lift some of the weight. Had a haircut and it was much shoulder than the shoulder length I was after and now I’m like wth do I do!!! I’m trying to suck it up as hair grows back but it’s so upsetting esp when I’ve been trying to grow my hair long and healthy :( Your hair looks lovely and I totally sympathise with you ❤

@ImMalloryBrooke I ❤ your hair as it is now!!! I'm in a bob that I'm not quite happy with. I have the same hair type as you. Fine hair that if now blown dry has almost corkscrew curls. I'd had XX-long hair forever! FR! When I first got this bob back in December of 2022, I was thrilled. But with each cut that I've gotten, the few things I've asked to be adjusted have been adjusted the opposite of what I asked. Technically, I'm supposed to have a graduated chin lengh bob. I asked for a more tapered ook in the back because, of course, drying it with a roll brush made it look like a shelf in the back. Not at all the look I want! So, would you mind sharing exactly what bob haircut that you have now. Since the salon you mentioned "fixed your first cut". I would love to be able to have an actual name of the cut since I'm going to a different salon and new stylist in a few weeks. I know to take pictures and discuss exactly what I want and what I don't, but we ladies with fine textured, frizzy curls that we blow out EVERY time it get damp can never be to careful about the hairdresser we use!

This is perfect for me because I chopped all my hair on purpose and it’s about this length so thanks! 😊

I got a haircut today and it ended up shorter than I asked for! I went from boob length to chin length (asked for shoulder length)… but I actually like it! It will definitely take some getting used to and I need to learn how to style it because I have NEVER had hair this short EVER!

I can totally commiserate how your feeling about your bad haircut. I love how you ended up styling it. I cut my own hair and decided to try a KZread tutorial for something different. I chickened out after waking the back of my hair off while in a ponytail. I managed to somewhat hide it until it grew enough to straighten it out. The next cut I did end up taking 3 inches off to fix my previous screw up. Never again.

I totally get it. A year ago I got a really bad cut. Uneven layers. The hairstylist hit me in the head with the blow dryer by accident to top it off. So I went home with a horrible headache and an uneven haircut. I didn't realize it was like that until I got home. I ended up getting extensions and it's the best thing I ever did. I like having long hair. It makes me feel more youthful. Have you ever thought about extensions while your hair grows out? You are beautiful with the short hair or long hair. xo 🥰

If I do too much volume at the bottom, I’d look like a mushroom lol! Also, are you able to style your hair solely with the GHD brush? I’m thinking of getting one.

When I had a super short bob a couple years ago, I found it easier to do flat iron waves. I would keep burning myself or dropping hair with the curling iron 😂 You rock the short bob! (Even though that wasn’t the goal)

Btw I tried that Crown gel you mentioned. At first, didnt want to bkuz she’s ‘spensive. But I was at Sephora and thought, “Mal knows what she’s talking about, just buy it.” And YEP fully approve. I’ve been using it when doing my hair for the gym and it’s brilliant. Great smell. Flexible. Etc. Say that Bedroom spray looks mighty tempting 😅

The Kevin Murphy super goo rubbery sculpting gel also says it’s a curl enhancer and I like you have naturally curly hair that I’m straightening in a short bob. Won’t this curl our straightened hair?

I think the hair totally works until you grow it out. It’s adorable. I had a similar experience with my stylist, I wanted an angled bob longer in front and he did it all the same length. Unfortunately for me, my face is way too fat for short cuts. I just to grow it out. So frustrating.

It’s 5 am and I can’t sleep bc I haven’t been able to stop thinking of this horribly too short bob cut I got yesterday 😭 my hair was one layer and an inch past my shoulder and now the back of my head looks like a mushroom and the back is shorter than yours and the angle is just ugly. So I came here and searched how to style a short bob and your video came up. Thank you for doing this. I’m going to try everything. I paid $105 for this horrible cut that makes me look like an old fashioned mom. Ugh. P.s. you’ve turned a bad situation around bc your styling looks super cute on you. You can jot that info down (or have it provided to you by the shop - which they’re obligated to do upon request) then contact the licensing board to file an official complaint. Get. Empowered.
